In Memory of Marla Ruzicka 1976 - 2005

Bay Area activist Marla Ruzicka spent her 28-year life fighting tirelessly for justice. She began organizing and educating her peers about social and environmental issues when she was in high school, bringing in speakers to her school and volunteering her time with various organizations. Marla later worked with AIDS victims in Zimbabwe, refugees in Palestine and campesinos in Nicaragua.

Following the US invasion of Afghanistan, Marla traveled there with Global Exchange and was so moved by the plight of the civilian victims that she dedicated the rest of her too short life to helping innocent victims of war in both Afghanistan and Iraq. She created an organization, Campaign for Innocent Victims In Conflict (CIVIC), to count casualties, provide assistance, and pressure the US government to take responsibility for the innocent civilians harmed by US forces. She was on such a mission in Iraq when she met her untimely death on Saturday, April 16, 2005 in Baghdad.

Marla will be remembered for her pioneering work, and also for her unyielding zest for life, remarkable capacity for joy, and deep loyalty to friends and family. Marla's smile stopped people in their tracks and her optimism inspired all those around her. Everyone whose life touched Marla's is richer for the experience, and her spirit will leave an indelible mark in the world.

We also remember and honor the work of Faiz Ali Salim, Marla's Iraqi colleague, who was killed with while working to bring attention and comfort to civilian victims of the Iraq war.

In the Doonesbury strip, which several weeks ago brought back Roland the reporter as a White House “stooge,” a colleague asked Roland if he is still “taking money from the dark side.” Roland challenged him to report that, if true. “I’d miss you too much,” the other journo replied.

“You guys weren’t so sentimental about Jeff Gannon,” Roland responded. “Why not me?”

Compassionate conservatism has been the catchphrase of George W. Bush since the presidential campaign of 2000, but those two words must now ring hollow to the more than 100 million Americans who make up our middle class. There is nothing conservative about our rising record budget and trade deficits. There is nothing compassionate about the president's idea of Social Security reform, the rollback of coverage for ever more costly healthcare for working Americans, or the most recent assault on the middle class: the new bankruptcy reform bill that Bush signed into law last week.

It's ironic that Congress approved the bankruptcy bill to impose fiscal discipline on the middle class when the federal government last year ran up a $412 billion budget deficit and a $617 billion trade deficit. President Bush's temerity in signing this legislation was the ultimate hypocrisy in a town already very well credentialed. Add to that hypocrisy the House of Representatives' vote to permanently repeal the estate tax for the wealthy, as Congress further rent the middle class's social safety net.

Compassionate conservatism? The new bankruptcy law was virtually written by the credit card companies and banks, making it far more difficult for American families to erase their debt. The credit card firms are not exactly struggling. Their profits, in fact, have risen steadily over the past decade. Sarichef is a small island—no more than a quarter of a mile across and two and a half miles long—and Shishmaref is basically the only thing on it. To the north is the Chukchi Sea, and in every other direction lies the Bering Land Bridge National Preserve, which probably ranks as one of the least visited national parks in the country. During the last ice age, the land bridge—exposed by a drop in sea levels of more than three hundred feet—grew to be nearly a thousand miles wide. He says, 'I have been troubled with more and more allegations, revelations, coming out about his style, his method of operation.' John Bolton, of course, is a very different man than Chuck Hagel. In theory, both are members of the Republican Party. The similarities stop there. Hagel served in Vietnam, and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts for sustaining injury in combat. Bolton, like most members of the current administration, has never worn a military uniform. ... Gegen die laxe Haltung von Verbraucherschutzministerin Renate Künast zum Anbau von genmanipuliertem Mais in Deutschland protestierten Greenpeace-Aktivisten am Donnerstag vormittag vor dem Bundesministerium mit einer Straßenwalze. Die mit dem Namen des Saatgut-Konzerns Monsanto versehene Walze überrollt dabei Lebensmittelverpackungen. Die Aktion symbolisiert die Gefahr, die durch den Anbau des Gen-Maises der Firma Monsanto droht: Der Anbau kann konventionelle und ökologische landwirtschaftliche Erzeugnisse verunreinigen. In diesem Jahr sind rund 1.000 Hektar für den Anbau angemeldet worden. Greenpeace fordert Künast auf, den Anbau des Gen-Maises zu verbieten. Polen, Österreich und Ungarn haben den Anbau von Gen-Mais bereits untersagt.

Salzburger Studie weist weltweit erstmals Einfluss nach.

SALZBURG (SN, APA). In einer Salzburger Studie konnte nun weltweit erstmals nachgewiesen werden, dass nicht nur die Strahlung eines Handys zu einer Veränderung der Gehirnströme führt, sondern dass auch Mobilfunk-Sendeanlagen diese beeinflussen. Die veränderten Hirnströme wurden mit dem EEG aufgezeichnet.

Neun Frauen und drei Männer im Alter zwischen 20 und 78 Jahren stellten sich freiwillig für das Experiment zur Verfügung. Sie bezeichnen sich selbst als empfindlich gegenüber Mobilfunksendeanlagen. Zur Aufzeichnung der bioelektrischen Aktivität des Gehirns wurden auf dem Kopf der Probanden mehrere Elektroden angebracht. Nach Abschluss der EEG-Aufzeichnungen wurden die Teilnehmer gebeten, allfällige Wahrnehmungen zu schildern. Fast alle klagten über verschiedene Symptome wie Herzbeklemmung, Kopfschmerzen, Nervosität oder Ohrengeräusche, berichtete Studienautor Gerd Oberfeld.

Die Ergebnisse der Untersuchung zeigen laut Oberfeld die Notwendigkeit, die Gesundheitsbelastung durch hochfrequente elektromagnetische Strahlung zu reduzieren und die Forschung zu intensivieren. Die Ergebnisse zeigen weltweit erstmals, dass die Einstrahlung einer Mobilfunk-Sendeanlage (GSM 900/1800 MHz) in etwa 80 Meter Distanz zu signifikanten Veränderungen unterschiedlicher EEG-Parameter führt. Die Ergebnisse sollen nun in internationalen Fachzeitschriften veröffentlicht und durch weitere Untersuchungen abgesichert werden.

"Nach einer Aktion gegen die Bielefelder REGE und der Agenturschlußkampagne hat die Bielefelder Gruppe "Blaues Wunder" gestern eine neue Aktion gegen Hartz IV und 1 Euro Jobs durchgeführt.

Wir haben vor der Hauptverwaltung der von Bodelschwinghschen Anstalten in Bielefeld (vielleicht besser bekannt als Bethel) gegen die Einrichtung von 1-Euro-Jobs in Bethel demonstriert. Im Vorfeld hatten wir mit einem offenen Brief auf ein Positionspapier des Vorstands von Bethel zu 1-Euro-Jobs reagiert. In dem Positionspapier hatte dieser angekündigt, 1-Euro Jobs anzubieten.

Toward the Earth as a whole

Toward the air and atmosphere
Toward the waters of the Earth
Toward its forest covers

Toward vegetation
Toward other species
Toward human settlements, etc.

Toward evolution, etc.

And another great chapter will be opened by my recommendation in Idea 1892 that there should be Declarations of No-rights, the rights not to do harm and unnecessary damages to people and to the Earth.

Die Bundesregierung versucht einen wahltaktischen Cup

"Entsendegesetz - Die Würde des Kapitals ist unantastbar"

Unsere Bundesregierung vermittelt in allen Medien, dass sie ein Entsendegesetz verabschieden will, welcher als Mindestlohn zu unrecht immer wieder bezeichnet wird, und für alle Branchen ausgeweitet werden soll.

Bisher gibt es nur in der Baubranche ein Entsendegesetz, was die Subunternehmer bisher auch nicht abgehalten hat zu Dumpinglöhnen die Arbeitskräfte meist aus dem Ausland sogar das Regierungsviertel bauen zu lassen. Ver.di hat im Prinzip schon mit Zeitarbeitsfirmen genug Erfahrungen der praktischen Umsetzung und Effektivität von solchen Bestimmungen, denn dort gibt es schon seit Jahren Tarifverträge mit MANPOWER, RANDSTAD, ADECCO, BINDAN usw. die aber nichts nützen, wenn es keinen Betriebsrat gibt, der Dumpinglöhne und Verstösse meldet. Wer gewerkschaftlich sich organisieren will fliegt raus. Wer das Zeitarbeitsunternehmen "anschwärzt" wird sogar von seinen Arbeitskollegen gemieden, weil er "Netzbeschmutzer" ist, und fliegt über kurz oder lang raus. Viele denken sich dann: Lieber einen unterbezahlten Job, als Hartz IV und kämpfen im Sinne der Unternehmer für ihren Sklavenjob. Das ist Sklavenmoral!

Die Tarife mit Zeitarbeitsfirmen sind sowieso schon unter dem Existenzniveau und haben eine Mindestlohngrenze von ungefähr 5 Euro nochwas pro Stunde.

Aber selbst das wird noch von den Zeitarbeitsfirmen unterlaufen durch unbezahlte Überstunden und/oder der nicht Anrechnung von Anfahrtszeiten, die meist sogar mehr als eine Stunde pro Anfahrtsweg betragen.

Das Entsendegesetz lässt so viele Schlupflöcher und keine Verpflichtung, was auch indirekt eingestanden wird in der Presserklärung der Bundesregierung:

"Wir haben kein Interesse daran, dies einseitig zu verordnen. Aber wir glauben, dass wir einige Branchen zu entsprechenden Tarifvereinbarungen bewegen können", erklärte Gerd Andres, Parlamentarischer Staatssekretär des Bundesarbeitsministeriums.

Ver.di, IG Metall, NGG und IG BAU müssten jetzt schon aus eigener Erfahrung mit grösseren Betrieben, Zeitarbeitsfirmen und Subunternehmen Sturm laufen gegen dieses Entsendegesetz, denn die Gewerkschaften müssten langsam eingesehen haben, dass sie machtlos sind gegenüber solche Unternehmen, die Tarifvereinbarungen unterlaufen, ohne dass es geahndet wird und sogar die Arbeitnehmer schon lange eine Sklavenmoral aufgebaut haben und sich ihrem Schicksal hingeben wie Lemminge.

Gewerkschaften müssen einsehen, dass sie vor Ort in den Betrieben machtlos sind und wurden nun von Schröder geködert mit symbolischem Machtzuwachs, weil das Entsendegesetz voraussetzt, dass in den Branchen die Löhne an Tarifverhandlungen gekoppelt sind. Doch wie sieht die Realität aus in Deutschland, wenn es doch schon lange Betriebsvereinbarungen gibt, die Tarife aushebeln? Das ist doch die Praxis. Es gibt keine Flächentarifverträge mehr. Genauso wie Gewerkschaften immer noch glauben, dass man Vollbeschäftigung schaffen können, glauben sie immer noch an ihr eigenes Märchen vom Flächentarifvertrag.

Was ist mit den Arbeitnehmern, die nicht gewerkschaftlich organisiert sind und auch der Unternehmer kein Tarifpartner ist? Hier greift das Entsendegesetz nämlich nicht. Glauben Gewerkschaften sich damit neue Mitglieder beschaffen zu können? Wird Gewerkschaft jetzt zu einer mafiösen Organisation wie Anfang des letzten Jahrhunderts in den USA? Glaubt die Gewerkschaft tatsächlich unter diesem Druck in Unternehmen, dass Betriebsräte sich neu bilden werden, die kämpferisch sich der Unternehmensleitung stellen, wenn diese meist heutzutage dann sowieso schon nicht mehr die Chefs sind, sondern von "Investoren" eigentlich geführt werden?

Was macht die Frisörin in Ostdeutschland, die für 330 Euro 40 Stunden die Woche im Laden stehen muss? Sie wird nicht profitieren von diesem Entsendegesetz. Ihr hilft keine Gewerkschaft, keine Regierung, sondern nur ihr Überlebenswille.

Interessant ist auch die Ankündigung der Bundesregierung am 11.Mai kurz vor der NRW Landtagswahl das Entsendegesetz auszuweiten. Bisher gilt es für die Baubranche und soll jetzt noch für die Gebäudereinigungsbranche gelten. Wieso nicht gleich für alle Branchen wie vollmundig angekündigt wird?

Wird es auch noch weitere Branchen nach der NRW Landtagswahl geben?

Wenn Gewerkschaften nicht in mafiöse Strukturen hineingeraten wollen und sich den Kämpfen aussetzen wollen, aber auch noch mehr Glaubwürdigkeit verlieren wollen, als sie ohnehin schon verloren haben, dann müssten sie jetzt auf die Barrikaden gehen und selbst im Sinne Ludwig Erhards fordern, dass der Staat gesetzliche Regelungen verabschieden muss, die wirklich regeln und nicht nur "Kann Bestimmungen" sind.

Die einzige Lösung kann für Gewerkschaften daher nur lauten:

Echter gesetzlicher Mindestlohn für alle!

Wenn Gewerkschaften auch noch ein Herz für Erwerbslose haben, was sie aber als ADAC nur für Gewerkschaftsmitglieder nicht für sich einsehen, dann müssten sie noch einen Schritt weitergehen und fordern:

Bedingungsloses Grundeinkommen für alle!

Dann würde eine echte andere und glaubwürdige Politik daraus werden.

Glaubwürdigkeit von SPD ist schon verspielt und die Gewerkschaften verspielen jetzt auch das bisschen letzten Anstandes, was vielleicht noch da war.

Mit einer Mafia will keiner was zu tun haben.

Es bleibt bei der Umschreibung des Grundgesetzes:

"Die Würde des Kapitals ist unantastbar"

Fast alle Lebensmittelskandale der vergangenen Jahre hatten ihren Ursprung in Futtermitteln. Ob BSE, Altöl, hormonell wirksame Pharmaabfälle, Nitrofen aus alten Spritzmit­tellagern oder Dioxin in Kartoffelabfällen. Dabei folgen sie immer dem gleichen Drehbuch: Ein Skandal wird publik und die Öffentlichkeit ist entsetzt. Den empörten Aufschrei beruhigen Politiker und Behörden mit der abwiegelnden Erklärung, es handele sich um Einzelfälle oder kriminelle Machenschaften.

Doch der neue Futtermittel-Report "Lug und Trog" von foodwatch belegt, dass die zahlreichen Futtermittelskandale der letzten Jahre keine "Unfälle" sind. Der Report fußt auf Recherchen, die mit dem Nitrofen-Skandal vor drei Jahren begannen. Am 20.04.2005 hat foodwatch den Report in einer Pressekonferenz der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Mit "Lug und Trog" bringt foodwatch auf 80 Seiten Licht in das Dunkel der Futterwirtschaft. Darin weist foodwatch nach, dass Futtermittel mit einer Lizenz zur Langzeitvergiftung hergestellt werden, weil Gesetzgeber, Behörden und Wirtschaft es so wollen.

Moderne Futtermittel sind der Treibstoff für die Hochleistungsproduktion in Agrar- und Lebensmittelindustrie. Über 200 Millionen landwirtschaftliche Nutztiere werden jedes Jahr mit 68 Millionen Tonnen Futtermitteln gefüttert. Futter muss in erster Linie billig sein, weil es einen Großteil der Produktionskosten verursacht (in der Geflügelmast circa 50 Prozent, in der Schweinemast sogar bis zu 66 Prozent).

Die Ergebnisse der foodwatch-Recherchen belegen, dass nicht die so genannte Schnäppchenmentalität der Verbraucher die Ursache für immer wiederkehrende Futtermittelskandale ist. Sondern eine das Grundrecht der Verbraucher auf Gesundheit missachtende Interessenpolitik von Futter-, Bauern- und Ernährungswirtschaftslobby.

Weder bei BSE noch bei Nitrofen wurde bis heute irgendjemand strafrechtlich belangt. Empörend und doch nur die Spitze des Eisbergs, wenn man an den ständigen Gifteintrag über das Tierfutter in unsere Nahrung denkt. Obwohl ein Großteil davon vermeidbar ist, billigen Regierungen und Überwachungsbehörden die gesundheitsgefährdende Praxis. Dies liegt beispielsweise an fehlenden (Grenzwerten (PCB) oder an Kontrollen, die nicht geeignet sind, um den Gifteintrag wirksam einzudämmen.

Über 80 Prozent der Dioxinbelastung des Menschen gehen nach Angaben der Europäischen Union (EU) auf tierische Lebensmittel zurück. Die Tiere nehmen Dioxine vor allem mit dem Futter auf. Doch die EU und Deutschland dulden wider besseres Wissen vermeidbare Dioxineinträge ins Futter. Jetzt plant die EU endlich die Einführung von Grenzwerten für dioxinähnliche PCB. Doch soll dies in einer Weise geschehen, die aufgrund wirtschaftlicher Interessen sogar höhere Di­oxinbelastungen im Futter erlaubt.

foodwatch fordert politische Maßnahmen, die den Futtermittelsektor grundlegend umgestalten. Die Spielregeln der Produktion müssen geändert werden. Dazu gehören auch wirksame Straf- und Haftungsregeln für Unternehmen, die Verpflichtung zur Chargenprüfung, die Neuorganisation der behördlichen Kontrollen und Klagerechte für Verbraucher. Das liegt im Interesse aller Milchtrinkerinnen, Käse-Gourmets, Omelette-Liebhaberinnen oder Schnitzelfreunde.

The fight against the cellular antennas becomes much stronger; the central cellular antennas farm in Dalia was dismantled this week, after the owner of the house on which it had been placed was warned by the mayor of legal proceedings against him by the municipality.

The antennas farm in Daliat il Carmel [together with Osafia, it is a new city called Carmel, the cancer map of Osafia is actually the map of cases from Dalia and Osafia] was dismantled this week after the owner of the house on which it had been placed, Suliman Basis, was called to the mayor's office, Dr. Akram Hason, who handed him over a legal order to dismantle the antennas farm on his roof. Basis is a known contractor in Daliat il Carmel, who works for the cellular companies, asks to stress that he received the permission to dismantle the site - from the cellular companies.

"After the meeting with the mayor, during which I was told in an unequivocal way that legal proceedings would be taken against me, I received the permission from the companies to dismantle the site, I performed the work by myself and with my responsibility, and I also wasn't interested in making the religion leaders angry at me and at my family".

The mayor, Dr. Akram Hason, who started dismantling the antennas in the two villages already 3 months ago, met two weeks ago with the representatives of the Christians and the Muslims, and they raised the idea of doing a religious excommunication on owners of houses in the villages on which cellular antennas are placed, and he claims that he is determined now more than ever to take the antennas away from Dalia and Osafia.

"I was sitting with the cellular companies, and I made it clear to them in an unequivocal way that I would not leave one cellular antenna in the villages area" Hason says.

"I called the owners of the houses on which the antennas farm or one antenna was placed, and I made it clear to them that at first stage I request to remove the antennas, and if within certain time they don't dismantle it, I will send the municipality people to remove the site and I will charge payment for this from the house owner."



Actually people from the village tell that instead of municipality people- the police goes to houses.

The population in Carmel is 25,000.

I think the cancer cases will not diminish so quickly. All the time more and more cases are found due to the history of exposure and latency period. Also in Zoran, if you remember their story - after the removal of Hillel station, still there are new cancer cases found all the time including children. The numbers are higher than I wrote back then.

The cancer cases in Osafia are in an area of only two streets, one small street and one big street - where the antennas were.

The people got used quite quickly to be without reception/cell phones, they just accept it.

The first time I was there about 2 weeks ago. I spoke with the person who burnt the antennas, very nice person, he felt victim. He and his wife were living right in front of huge antennas, and his wife started bleeding in the brain. One side of her brain became paralyzed, she went through operation, now she is better. He said he can't prove it's from the antennas, but he sure thinks it is.

The way the mayor succeeded in doing this move to remove the antennas, was because of the work of his vice mayor, Suliman Abu Ruchen. Suliman didn't stop pushing this subject, he helped getting the medical files from people for the map. He went to check the permission documents for EVERY antenna in the city, and he found that the cellular companies used the operation permissions as constructions permissions, that means the Env. ministry gave them to irradiate but the municipality didn't give them permission to build the antennas at all, and they did. So, many antennas were not legal. When Suliman exposed what he had found to the companies, they were silent and surprised. Because they are doing it all over Israel, but this is the first time that someone caught it !!

Suliman said that he would have no problem burning them because they were not legal anyway ! The companies were silent in reaction.

Suliman said they were very very strict with the companies, they didn't let the companies express themselves too much, they just made it clear in a sharp way, and the companies didn't have much to do about it.

Yesterday I spoke with someone who lives in a village with cellular antennas in the middle of the village. Around the antennas, about 30 women got enlarged thyroid glands, some went through serious operations. The antennas are there for two years and the enlarged thyroid glands started two months ago. Only in women.

Usfie=Osfia: Usfie is the Druz name. The jews tend to "translate" it to something that sounds more like hebrew.

Umweltmediziner fordert Begleitstudie zu Netzausbau

Das Salzburger Mobilfunknetz wird bis Jahresende um 260 Anlagen erweitert. Begleitende Forschung sei nun das Mindeste, was getan werden muss, meint der Salzburger Umweltmediziner Gerd Oberfeld.

Jahrelang hat sich die Stadt Salzburg gegen einen Wildwuchs an Handymasten und das Überschreiten des „Salzburger Vorsorgewertes“ (ein Milliwatt pro Quadratmeter) gewehrt.

Omega 1 mW/m² = 1000 µW/m² war der alte Salzburger Vorsorgewert. Empfehlungen der Landessanitätsdirektion Salzburg Februar 2002 (neuer Salzburger Vorsorgewert: Summe GSM außen 10 µW/m², Summe GSM innen 1 µW/m² (1 µW/m² = 0,001 mW/m²). Zum vorbeugenden Schutz der öffentlichen Gesundheit wird für die Summe der niederfrequent-pulsmodulierten hochfrequenten Immissionen von Mobilfunksendeanlagen, wie z.B. GSM-Basisstationen, ein vorläufiger Vorsorgewert von 1 µW/m² für den Innenbereich empfohlen.

Weit unter 1000 µW/m² gibt es wissenschaftliche Studien, die die Schädlichkeit der Mobilfunkstrahlung belegen.

Durch Mobilfunk-Feldstudien zeigte die Uni Wien auf, dass es sehr weit unterhalb von 1 MilliWatt (=1000 Mikrowatt (µW)/m²) zu Herz-Kreislauf-Problemen und Gedächtnisleistungsstörungen kommen kann.

Es gibt wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen, die z.B. schon nach 50 Minuten Bestrahlung bei 1000 Mikrowatt/m² eine signifikante Reduzierung der Gedächtnisleistung belegen. (Dr. Maier, Uni Mainz)

Aus der Erfahrungsmedizin ist bekannt, dass viele Menschen inzwischen schon ab 10 Mikrowatt/m² erkranken.

Doch die Mobilfunkbetreiber haben die Oberhand behalten: Bis Jahresende wird die UMTS-Technologie zum Internet-Surfen am Handy problemlos im gesamten Stadtgebiet verfügbar sein. 260 neue Sendeanlagen werden dafür gebraucht, die aber großteils auf den bestehenden Masten angebracht werden können. Landesumweltmediziner Gerd Oberfeld hat die Bürgerinitiativen gegen Handymasten und Strahlenbelastung in den vergangenen Jahren mit seinem Fachwissen unterstützt. Das Einlenken der Stadt hat für ihn rechtliche Gründe. Denn für die Festsetzung der Grenzwerte sei der Bund zuständig. Der Salzburger Vorsorgewert sei eine „jahrelange Fiktion“ und „immer wieder überschritten“ worden, so Oberfeld. Mit Ausnahme des Ortsbildschutzes habe die Stadt kein Druckmittel gegen das Errichten neuer Anlagen. „Die Umsetzung des Wertes ist bei einzelnen Netzbetreibern nie gelungen“, erklärt der Mediziner.

Kopfschmerzen und sogar Depressionen

Außerdem hätten es die Netzbetreiber geschafft, Salzburg als isoliert hinzustellen, weil mit dem Vorsorgewert UMTS nicht möglich sei. „Der Wert ist, auf gut deutsch, kalt abgeschossen worden.“ Doch schon das herkömmliche GSM-Netz berge gesundheitliche Risiken, wie mehrere Untersuchungen belegt hätten. Die Symptome reichen dabei von Kopfschmerzen, Konzentrations- und Schlafstörungen bis zu Herzrhythmusstörungen und Depressionen. Oberfeld: „Bei GSM gibt es unangenehme Erfahrungen, besser wird es mit UMTS nicht werden.“ Der Mediziner fordert deshalb eine Begleitstudie zum Ausbau des Salzburger Netzes. „Das ist das Mindeste, was man den Menschen schuldig ist“.

Omega: „Denn, warum werden seit Jahren Forschungsergebnisse nationaler und internationaler Wissenschaftler systematisch missachtet? Warum haben europäische und außereuropäische Länder die Grenzwerte gesenkt und bewusste Vorsorge eingeführt, während in diesem Land von der Regierung immer wieder betont wird, die Grenzwerte stellten einen hinreichenden Schutz für den Menschen dar? Warum wird hierzulande nicht anerkannt, dass es bei sehr geringen Feldstärken a-thermische Belastungen für den Menschen gibt? Warum verweisen in diesem Lande Regierung und Opposition immer wieder auf Forschungsbedarf, wohingegen die wissenschaftlichen Hinweise aus dem In- und Ausland eine dringend erforderliche und bewusste Vorsorge verlangen? Warum erkennt der größte Teil des politischen Niveaus dieses Landes nicht an, dass in dem hier gegebenen Zusammenhang ein Problem existiert, dem man nachgehen muss? Warum wird hier nicht gehandelt anstelle längst abgedroschene Phrasen, "man nehme die Sorgen der Bürger sehr ernst" weiter zu verbreiten? Warum wird in diesem Land das Vorsorgeprinzip, verabschiedet von der Europäischen Kommission im Jahre 2000, nicht respektiert?

Idiotentest für Minister Wagner

Zum Vorschlag des hessischen Justizministers Wagner, elektronische Fußfesseln auch bei Langzeitarbeitslosen einzusetzen, erklärt die stellvertretende Parteivorsitzende Katja Kipping:

Die Bemühungen des hessischen Justizministeriums um Schadensbegrenzung und der Verweis auf ein aus dem Zusammenhang gerissenes Zitat sind nutzlos.

Fakt bleibt, dass sich der Vorschlag Wagners kaum anders interpretieren lässt als er verstanden wird: Langzeitarbeitslosen wird per se die Fähigkeit abgesprochen, einen geordneten Tagesablauf einzuhalten. Dies beleidigt Millionen arbeitslose Menschen in diesem Land. Nicht der Einzelne ist Schuld an der Arbeitslosigkeit. Das und die Grundprinzipien der Demokratie scheint Minister Wagner nicht verstanden zu haben. Gäbe es einen Idiotentest für Minister, Wagner wäre durchgefallen.

Der Vorschlag der Fußfessel würde einen schwerwiegenden Eingriff in die Persönlichkeitsrechte der arbeitslosen Menschen darstellen, die Menschenwürde mit Füßen treten, Langzeitarbeitslose stigmatisieren und sie mit Verbrechern gleichsetzen.

Statt Langzeitarbeitslose auf diese Art zu kriminalisieren, sie weiter auszugrenzen und überwachen zu lassen, sollten geistige Kräfte besser auf vernünftige Konzepte zur Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen oder eine existenzsichernde Grundsicherung verwandt werden.

Wenn der Minister allerdings über die Fußfessel stolpert, hätte die schwachsinnige Idee trotzdem etwas Gutes.

Salzburg (SN-chr). Unerwartete finanzielle Unterstützung für Umweltmediziner Gerd Oberfeld und seine Handystrahlen-Forschung: Peter Daniell Porsche (31), Spross der Autobauer- und Händlerdynastie, stellt Oberfeld 150.000 Euro für eine Studie zur Verfügung. "Darin soll geprüft werden, ob es einen Zusammenhang zwischen Handystrahlen und Kehlkopfkrebs gibt", sagt Porsche. "Die Mobilfunkbetreiber bestreiten jede Gesundheitsgefahr durch Handystrahlen, und die Betroffenen haben eine Riesenangst. Ich bin einer der sagt: Man soll der Sache wissenschaftlich auf den Grund gehen."

Studie in der Schule

Strahlenforscher Oberfeld macht inzwischen mit einem Experiment in der Rudolf-Steiner-Schule in Salzburg auf sich aufmerksam: Dort wurden zwölf Personen in einem von Strahlen abgeschirmten Raum platziert. "Wir haben den Teilnehmern die Augen verbunden und die Ohren verstopft. Dann wurde das Fenster des Raumes mehrmals geöffnet und wieder geschlossen. Der nahe Handymast hat durch das offene Fenster gestrahlt und dafür gesorgt, dass sich die Hirnwellen der Leute sofort verändert haben", sagt Oberfeld. Damit sei weltweit zum ersten Mal bewiesen, dass Mobilfunk den menschlichen Körper beeinflusst. Am Versuch waren Wissenschafter der Christian-Doppler-Klinik und der Uni Salzburg beteiligt.

Kerry is regrouping and campaigning hard regarding insurance coverage for children (very important and much-needed project) and needs to know, as do other politicians, that health and insurance problems in the U.S. will continue to spin out-of-control until someone takes responsibility for releasing the EMF Interagency Committee Report to Congress so that announcements and pamphlets emphasizing "prudent avoidance" can be distributed to clinics, hospitals and schools around-the-country. Acknowledgement of the importance of the 2002 EMF California Report should be added to the EMF RAPID findings when Congress evaluates findings re EMF and immune dysfunction, childhood Leukemia, and other health problems cited in the EMF RAPID Conclusions.

PREVENTION in regard to especially night-time EMF/EMR exposures is essential for everyone even tho you and I and others know that such exposures affect children more profoundly than adults. Even effects from poor sleep and resultant headaches and depression can and do place a huge burden on society!!!!

Filters have now been placed in many schools by Dr. Magda Havas/Dave Stetzer and as Dr. Havas reports, "the results are amazing" with improvements in attention, less need for asthma inhalers and even the principal of two schools reporting major improvement in her M.S. symptoms. I believe there are funds that were allocated for "informing the public" at the time EMF RAPID was initiated. Those funds should be transferred to the Environmental Protection Agency so information can be released to the public!!! A booklet on EMF's was printed by the Culver Company (the utilities' communications' experts) in 2001 that makes specific suggestions in regard to replacing electric clocks in bedrooms with battery-operated or wind-up clocks. Contact with Culver Company confirms that printing of the booklet was stopped. I received a copy of the booklet from Florida Power & Light a couple of years ago. A Culver Company representative happened to mention that the booklets were also being prepared for distribution to schools. WHY is this not happening???!!!

I have written to various public justice groups and have not even received a response. WHO is going to help the public decide how much of being guinea pigs they are willing to accept? HOW can industry officials, politicans, media officials sleep at night knowing there are children (not to mention the rest of society) suffering when oftentimes just moving electrical appliances/devices away from their beds might greatly improve or eliminate chronic asthma, chronic sinus infections, chronic headaches, ADD, ADHD and many other health problems that do not allow a child to study in school or to interact properly???!!!

One of the greatest mistakes that was made in regard to the $46 million "major rip-off" (EMF RAPID) is not considering the countless health problems that occur before a diagnosis of Leukemia!!!! We are allowing government officials to carry on not informing the public because they are getting away with the lame excuse that the percentages of children who develop Leukemia are small. They state the evidence for Leukemia in adults in the workplace is "weak." Well, there may be truth in those statements BUT the fact "there is evidence," and the fact "no one" can say what a safe level is, combined with the overwhelming costs for the many health problems that occur before Leukemia develops, makes it imperative that immediate action must be taken to inform the public.

Sorry, Deb, you know all of this and have been and still are a "great fighter for-the-cause!!!" Your comments (haven't had a chance to open all the others yet) "opened-a-door" in my mind that will be an important point (involvement of EPA) to John Kerry (and others) as I mentioned above.

I don't know what's going off in our communities or how many people are being put through high levels of EMF in their own homes. I' ve suffered terribly from it, and the levels come through in high surges even when my power is switched off at the mains.

Another point I would mention is that there is a loud clicking sound that comes from my wall power point even when nothing is running. It sounds like the clicking a central heating system makes when it clicks on. Except I don't have central heating. I have had one storage heater running through the entire winter and it runs from a totally different circuit to my wall plugs.

I've noted this sharp click sound also in a room upstairs, and I've no idea what it is. Unless, that is my, electrics have been tampered with to create the situation. Which may explain my high electricity bills even when I'm using the minimum of electricity.

Please don't suggest I contact my utility electrical supplier. Things no longer work that way here in England, where these things are now left as if they don't exist...and the cancer cases grow.

The government we have just pretend... on all things. So you can imagine what is done about the EMF and radiation problem here. It simply doesn't exist.

Die Bezüge einzelner Vorsitzender der Kassenzahnärztlichen Vereinigungen (KZV) seien um mehr als 300 Prozent gewachsen, schreibt die "Süddeutsche Zeitung" unter Berufung auf Statistiken. Spitzenreiter sei der Chef der KZV Westfalen-Lippe, Dietmar Gorski, dessen Gehalt nun bei 221.600 Euro liege. Ein Jahr zuvor habe es 49.000 Euro betragen - ein sattes Plus von 350 Prozent. Damit verdiene Gorski mehr als der Chef der Kassenzahnärztlichen Bundesvereinigung (KZBV) Jürgen Fedderwitz, der mit 220.000 Euro nach Hause gehe. Zuvor hätten dessen Bezüge bei 73.600 Euro gelegen, wobei damals weitere Zahlungen wie Sitzungsgelder hinzukamen.

I have recently read one of your recent communications with Don Maisch stating your fears of the future, and I want to first comment as a person who is already facing early dementia and am scared as hell about it. Yes, I am dealing with all the symptoms of early onset Alzheimers, and it is very frightning?

When I think of the millions of people who are destroying their BRAINS with cellphones I shudder with the thoughts of who the hell is going to care for all these people. How many people have to go through what I and so many other people have gone through before the human race finnally realizes that it made a very big mistake by allowing an entire population be a guinnea pig for this hiddious experiment.

Here is my Question. I would like to communicate with as many other people as I can, who have been affected by cellphones or by celltowers. You mentioned a few people you know personally who are dealing with dementia from their work with the industry, could you ask them if they would be interested in forming a support group to help others who are becoming ill and don't know where to turn.

I have recently gotten the Doctors who are caring for me to believe I have been injured by a cellphone, and they are trying a variety of things to help me cope with the many symptoms I suffer from.

I thank you and all the other people who are trying so hard to bring the EMR-EMF issue to the light it needs so very badly.

[Land Salzburg] Salzburger Umweltmediziner Oberfeld stellt Ergebnisse einer neuen Studie vor

(LK) „Die Ergebnisse einer neuen Studie zeigen weltweit erstmals, dass die Einstrahlung einer Mobilfunksendeanlage (GSM 900/1800 MHz) in etwa 80 Metern Entfernung zu signifikanten Veränderungen unterschiedlicher EEG-Parameter führt. Die gemessenen Veränderungen der Gehirnströme sind mit verschiedenen vegetativen und zentralnervösen Störungen, über die die Probanden berichteten, in Zusammenhang zu bringen.“ Dies teilte heute, Mittwoch, 27. April, der Salzburger Umweltmediziner Dr. Gerd Oberfeld vom Referat „Gesundheit, Hygiene und Umweltmedizin“ des Landes mit.

In der Studie wurden zur Auswertung die Elektrodenpaare im Hinterhauptslappen und Scheitellappen herangezogen und für drei Frequenzbänder Alpha 1 (8-10 Hz), Alpha 2 (10-12 Hz) und Beta (13-20 Hz) untersucht. Ausgehend von der Phase geringer Strahlenbelastung kam es zu einer Aktivitätsänderung in allen drei Frequenzbändern. Diese Veränderungen können zusammenfassend als Reaktion des Gehirns auf einen äußeren Reiz – im speziellen Fall durch die Strahlung einer GSM-Mobilfunksendeanlage - angesehen werden. Äußere Reize, die zu einer Reaktion des biologischen Systems führen, werden als externe Stressoren bezeichnet. Stressoren sind nicht grundsätzlich negativ (Eustress), können jedoch bei zu häufigem Auftreten bzw. bei zu großer Intensität in Abhängigkeit von der Empfindlichkeit des betroffenen Menschen zu Störungen der Lebensqualität, der Arbeitsleistung und der Gesundheit führen (Disstress), erläuterte Dr. Oberfeld. Aufgrund der von fast allen Studienteilnehmern geschilderten zum Teil erheblichen Störungen des Wohlbefindens ist zumindest bei auf Mobilfunkstrahlung empfindlichen Personen bereits bei einer kurzzeitigen Einwirkung eine Disstressreaktion anzunehmen.

Strahlung muss reduziert werden

Die Ergebnisse der Untersuchung zeigen, so Oberfeld in Zusammenschau mit den vorliegenden empirischen Daten, die Notwendigkeit, die Gesundheitsbelastung durch hochfrequente elektromagnetische Strahlung zu reduzieren und die Forschung zu intensivieren. Die Ergebnisse zeigen weltweit erstmals, dass die Einstrahlung einer Mobilfunksendeanlage (GSM 900/1800 MHz) in etwa 80 m Distanz zu signifikanten Veränderungen unterschiedlicher EEG-Parameter führt. Es ist geplant, diese Ergebnisse in internationalen Fachzeitschriften zu veröffentlichen und die jetzt gefundenen Resultate durch weitere Untersuchungen abzusichern. Dazu werden schon jetzt freiwillige Studienteilnehmer ab 16 Jahren gesucht, die sich als empfindlich oder unempfindlich gegenüber Mobilfunksendeanlagen bezeichnen. Interessenten werden ersucht, sich an die Umweltmedizin des Landes Salzburg unter der Telefonnummer (0662) 8042-2969 zu wenden. Die Untersuchung wurde aus Geldern der Salzburger Landesregierung finanziert.
Rudolf-Steiner-Schule war Projektauslöser

Die Rudolf-Steiner-Schule in Salzburg-Mayrwies liegt im Hauptstrahl der Mobilfunksendeanlage am benachbarten Wählamt der Telekom Austria. Die höchsten Strahlenpegel wurden bei geöffnetem Fenster im Religionsraum 1 im ersten Stock der Schule in etwa 80 m Distanz zum Sender gemessen. Mehrere Versuche der Schule zur Entfernung des Senders waren bisher vergeblich.

In einer interdisziplinären Arbeitsgruppe bestehend aus Dr. med. univ. Gerd Oberfeld, Umweltmediziner des Landes Salzburg (Studienleiter), Dr. Hannes Schimke (EEG-Brainmapping / Psychophysiologie / Statistik) und Univ. Prof. Dr. Günther Bernatzky (Arbeitsgruppe für Neurodynamics und Neurosignalling der Universität Salzburg) wurde ein innovatives Studiendesign erstellt. Unterstützt wurde die neurophysiologische EEG-Befundung durch Dr. med. univ. Gernot Luthringshausen, Neurologe/EEG. Untersuchungsziel war die Abklärung eines möglichen Zusammenhangs zwischen der Einstrahlung der Mobilfunksendeanlage und der Beeinflussung der Gehirnaktivität bei erwachsenen Studienteilnehmern.

Schulklasse wird zum Strahlenlabor

Unterstützt durch die Rudolf-Steiner-Schule wurde im August 2004 der Religionsraum 1 für eine Woche zum Studienlabor. Die dem Sender zugewandte Seite wurde mit einem Abschirmstoff verhängt, nur eine kleine Fläche im geöffneten Fenster wurde mit einem normalen Stoff versehen, um die hochfrequente Strahlung in den Versuchsraum zu lassen. Diese Öffnung konnte nun sehr einfach durch einen zweiten kleinen Abschirmvorhang verschlossen und wieder geöffnet werden.

Die hochfrequente Einstrahlung im Religionsraum wurde durch die nahe Mobilfunksendeanlage dominiert. Am Untersuchungsplatz ergaben sich im ungeschirmten Zustand als Maximalwert für TV-Sender Pegel von 0,03 µW/m², für UKW von 3 µW/m³ und für die Mobilfunksendeanlage von 6290 µW/m². Während der gesamten Untersuchung wurden neben der Aufzeichnung der Strahlenbelastung durch die Mobilfunksendeanlage direkt neben dem Studienteilnehmer verschiedene Umweltparameter wie Schallpegel (Umweltschutzabteilung des Landes Salzburg), Kohlenstoffdioxid, Temperatur, relative Luftfeuchtigkeit, magnetische Wechselfelder (können z.B. bei Stromflüssen in Leitungen auftreten) und die Sfericsaktivität (Auslöser von Wetterbeschwerden) erhoben.

Studienteilnehmer im Alter zwischen 20 und 78 Jahren

Neun Frauen und drei Männer im Alter zwischen 20 und 78 Jahren, die sich selber gegenüber Mobilfunksendeanlagen als empfindlich bezeichneten, stellten sich freiwillig für das Experiment zur Verfügung. Es wurde den Teilnehmern freigestellt, die Untersuchung jederzeit abzubrechen. Die zeitliche Abfolge der Belastung wurde den Teilnehmern nicht mitgeteilt.

Die Studienteilnehmer wurden in einen bequemen Polstersessel mit dem Rücken zum geöffneten Fenster gesetzt. Die Einstrahlung erfolgte leicht schräg auf den Hinterkopf. Die Belastung des Oberkörpers betrug bedingt durch die Abschirmung etwa 1/8 der Kopfbelastung. Anschließend wurden zur Aufzeichnung der bioelektrischen Aktivität des Gehirns (Elektroenzephalogramm-EEG) mehrere Elektroden verteilt auf dem Kopf angebracht. Um die Wirkungen anderer Umweltreize zu minimieren, erhielten die Studienteilnehmer eine dunkle Augenmaske (Schlafmaske) und Ohrenwachs (Ohropax) beidseits. Die Untersuchung erfolgte in Ruhe, Bewegungen wurden mit Ausnahme der Atmung und des Schluckens vermieden. Zu Beginn des Versuches war die Strahlenbelastung im Raum bzw. bei der Versuchsperson deutlich reduziert und betrug im örtlichen und zeitlichen Mittel im Kopfbereich etwa 26 µW/m². Danach wurde für 15 Minuten der zweite kleine Abschirmvorhang unmerkbar für die Studienteilnehmer angehoben. Dies führte zu einem Anstieg der Leistungsflussdichte auf etwa 3327 µW/m². Danach folgte wieder eine geschirmte Phase mit etwa 26 µW/m².

Nach Abschluss der EEG-Aufzeichnungen wurden die Studienteilnehmer gebeten, allfällige Wahrnehmungen zu schildern. Elf der zwölf Studienteilnehmer schilderten verschiedene Symptome wie etwa Bienenkorbsurren im Kopf, Herzklopfen, Unbehagen, Benommenheit, Herzbeklemmung, Atemnot, Nervosität, Unruhe, Kopfschmerzen, Ohrgeräusch, Hitzegefühl, Niedergeschlagenheit, Gefühl nicht genug Luft zu bekommen. Diese wird vor die vollendete Tatsache gestellt und ehe man sich versieht, fahren bereits die Bagger auf und Montagetrupps rüsten die Sender auf. Auch die durch die Medien transportierten Aussagen sind irreführend, denn wenn Mobilfunk unbedenklich und zumutbar ist, wozu dann überhaupt eine "Grenzwertfeilscherei", ist er aber wie unzählige Untersuchungen und Studien belegen, sogar ein erheblicher Risikofaktor warum greift dann nicht das verfassungsgemäße Grundrecht auf absolute körperliche und geistige Unversehrtheit?

"Die unsichtbare Gefahr" war der treffende Untertitel, des Montag, den 24.04.05 ausgestrahlten Mobilfunkbeitrags der ORFSendung "Thema". Hier wurden die berechtigten gesundheitlichen Bedenken massiv untermauert.

Betroffen machte einerseits die dort gezeigte Pilotstudie mit eindeutig signifikanten, gesundheitlich äußerst bedenklichen Auswirkungen der Senderstrahlung an der Salzburger Rudolf-Steiner-Schule Salzburg, andererseits die hilflose und unsachliche Reaktion Mag. Barmüllers vom FMK, der sich damit selbst disqualifizierte. Solche Leute sind die Partner unserer Politiker in diesen erwähnten Verhandlungen!

Background

The budget conference report need not say the words "Arctic National Wildlife Refuge" to result in Arctic Refuge drilling. In fact, it is likely that the report will not mention the Refuge by name but will instead contain "reconciliation instructions" to the House Resources and Senate Energy Committees, requiring them to cut their budgets by a specific amount.

Although these open-ended instructions sound harmless, the Committees would be allowed to fulfill the instructions by changing laws to generate new revenue, instead of making actual cuts. Reconciliation instructions would therefore give pro-drilling chairmen of these committees, Sen. Pete Domenici (R-NM) and Rep. Richard Pombo (R-CA), everything they need to avoid a Senate filibuster over drilling the Arctic Refuge.

A vote for a budget resolution with these open-ended instructions is a vote to drill America's Arctic Refuge, whether or not it mentions the Refuge by name. Unlike the energy bill, the budget resolution cannot be filibustered.

Thanks for your kind invitation to join the 'Attica to Abu Ghraib' Conference: *Ona Move!*

When we think about the atrocities of Attica, and the abominations at Abu Ghraib, we are sometimes caught searching for a common denominator. What could it be, we wonder, as we look at the brutal state assault on both prisoners and staff at Attica, and the human rights violations, and yes - torture, that marked American behavior at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq?

The commonalities, however, are more than first meets the eye. Of course, they are both prisons (but that's obvious). They both came to public consciousness through the actions of people who were prison guards. And they both were, initially, defended by the State by a flood of lies.

What matters really least, is that they occurred in different countries. They both happened in the same empire.

What marked the differences between them is the critical element of time, and even this quality does not speak well of things to come. For, as time is the difference, yet it tells us how far things have fallen; how the 30 years between Attica and Abu Ghraib have marked a coarsening of American character, and a brutishness of imperial defenders.

Attica opened up an era of prison reform across much of the nation, and fueled the movement to attempt to eradicate the most depraved elements of the nation's repressive prison systems.

Abu Ghraib was met by quasi-official justifications, government obfuscation, and the incredible spectacle of right-wing pundits likening the torture and human rights abuses there to 'college pranks.' The humiliation of naked Arab men was compared to the field displays of cheerleading squads!

There is, of course, another monstrous difference: the architects of Abu Ghraib, and high-level defenders of torture, have been rewarded by higher, and more prestigious posts in government!

In a nutshell, torture pays!

We have not spoken of the pivotal American issue of race.

Without prisoners actively advocating Black liberation, there would have been no Attica.

The tortured, maimed, and humiliated prisoners at Abu Ghraib were targeted by the U.S. Army because they were seeking to intimidate and eliminate people who were trying to fight to free their country from foreign occupiers. In other words, they were fighting for their own national liberation. In an empire, which picks puppets for other nations, this is not acceptable. It wasn't acceptable under the Roman Empire, the British Empire, nor its North American successor empire, the American Empire.

To this latest global incarnation of the White Nation, Arabs are but sand niggers, to be beaten into submission and obedience. It is the refusal to accept this status that is fueling what the U.S. media calls 'the insurgency.'

There is another element that arises from the evidence: American cruelty. Big Black, the late veteran of Attica, told stories of the torture and beatings that he endured, as he was naked, and held under gunpoint. It is an eerie precursor of the treatment of Arab prisoners at Abu Ghraib.

Nor is it mere coincidence that some of the most brutal, most vicious actors at Abu Ghraib were U.S. Reserves, who, in their civilian lives, were prison guards. How else could they learn it?

One of the most infamous was from SCI-Greene, in Southwestern Pennsylvania, named Charles Graner. Recently his ex-wife came forward to tell of the terrors to which she was exposed daily. She said Graner promised to cut her into little pieces, and that no one would ever find her body.

Economist Paul Krugman explains Bush's latest con -- social security

To hear George Bush tell it, Social Security is about to go broke. Since his re-election, the president has launched a full-scale campaign to convince the public that the retirement system will run out of money starting in 2018. "The system goes into the red," Bush told reporters on December 20th at a rare press conference. "Many times, legislative bodies will not react unless the crisis is apparent, crisis is upon them. I believe that crisis is." Social Security, he concluded, "can't sustain that which has been promised to the workers."

To save Social Security, Bush wants to destroy it -- replacing government-guaranteed retirement benefits with private accounts that will be subject to the whims of the stock market. It's an expensive plan. Allowing workers to divert even a small portion of their payroll taxes into private investments, as Bush is proposing, would require the government to borrow at least $2 trillion to make up the immediate shortfall. It's also completely unnecessary, according to Paul Krugman, a prize-winning professor of economics at Princeton University. In a blistering series of columns in the New York Times, Krugman has marshaled the economic data to show that Social Security is not only solvent, it's in much better financial shape than the rest of the federal government. "The people who hustled America into a tax cut to eliminate an imaginary budget surplus and a war to eliminate imaginary weapons," Krugman wrote recently, "are now trying another bum's rush." WASHINGTON, DC—In a case eerily reminiscent of the death of British Ministry of Defense bio-weapons expert, Dr. David Kelly, an official of the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research Near East and South Asian division (INR/NESA), John J. Kokal, 58, was found dead in the late afternoon of November 7, 2003.

Police indicated he may have jumped from the roof of the State Department. Kokal's body was found at the bottom of a 20-foot window well, eight floors below the roof of the State Department headquarters, near the 23rd and D Street location. Kokal's death was briefly mentioned in a FOX News website story on November 8 but has been virtually overlooked by the major media. In light of recent revelations concerning UN ambassador nominee John Bolton's bizarre and physically abusive behavior, a re-examination of the Kokal death is in order. In the rally, sponsored by the Family Research Council, one of the leaders called the congressional tactic of delaying debate, or blocking legislation, "judicial tyranny to people of faith."

"The future of democracy and ordered liberty actually depends on the outcome of this struggle," Focus on the Family founder James Dobson told the crowd at the "Justice Sunday" rally at a church in Louisville, Kentucky. Hessischer Justizminister Dr. Christean Wagner (CDU) sieht in „elektronischen Fußfesseln“ eine Möglichkeit für Langzeitarbeitslose „zu einem geregelten Tagesablauf zurückzukehren und in ein Arbeitsverhältnis vermittelt zu werden“.

Anlässlich des Auftrittes der hessischen Landesregierung während der CeBIT 2005 stellte der hessische Justizminister Dr. jur. Christean Wagner (CDU) die fünf Jahre zuvor in Hessen für Straftäter eingeführte Fußfessel vor. In der Pressemitteilung des Hessischen Ministeriums der Justiz vom 10. März 2005 zu diesem Ereignis sagt der Justizminister Dr. Christean Wagner (CDU) wörtlich:

„Die Fußfesselträger werden zu einer für ihre Verhältnisse hohen Selbstdisziplin und zur Erfüllung des ihnen vorgegebenen Wochenplans angehalten. Die elektronische Fußfessel bietet damit auch Langzeitarbeitslosen ... die Chance, zu einem geregelten Tagesablauf zurückzukehren und in ein Arbeitsverhältnis vermittelt zu werden. Viele Probanden haben es verlernt, nach der Uhr zu leben, und gefährden damit gerade auch ihren Arbeitsplatz oder ihre Ausbildungsstelle. Durch die Überwachung mit der elektronischen Fußfessel kann eine wichtige Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe geleistet werden.“

To live again normally to explain her electro-sensitivity to the electromagnetic waves, Sabine reconsiders with her medical history: operated face at 17 years, she has metal implants, steel wire and plates, close to the eyes and the mouth: would those make antennas?

A case was revealed by a Swedish specialist, establishing interferences between an osteosynthesis, nervous fabrics and the electromagnetic waves also called radio frequencies. Directed towards the Teaching hospitals of Strasbourg, Sabine is re-operated in November. One withdraws certain metal elements from her, but not all: they are encrusted too much in the bone and their extraction would be risky. The work signed by 4 French scientists wants to alert the authorities on the existence of banal pathologies (insomnia, migraines...) or more doors (epilepsy, tumours etc.) observed at residents of antenna-relay. Increasingly many are in addition the experts to recommend "an approach of risk management taking as a starting point the the principle by precaution and aiming at reducing to low the possible level the exposure of the public to the radio frequencies (electromagnetic waves) associated mobile telephony". The scandal of asbestos, choked during if longtems, it is already forgotten?

I was all set to write a column about the nuclear option -- the proposal to change the rules of the Senate in order to get President Bush's most questionable judicial appointments through -- when, lo, word came that there is no nuclear option anymore. It is now called 'the constitutional option.' Who changed it? Why, the Republican Party, of course. Verdummung der Intelligenz

Sicher schauen heute viele Menschen mit oder ohne Abitur und Studium mit Freuden auf ihr erfolgreiches Leben zurück. Sie haben wahre Leistungen vollbracht und verdienen Achtung! Zu deren Lebenszeit bis annähernd Ende des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts schien eine besondere Art des Lebens auf dieser Welt noch einigermaßen in normalen Bahnen zu verlaufen! Das soll nicht heißen, dass alles in Ordnung war. Aber damals gab es noch nicht diese kleinen störenden Dinger, die „absurden Alleskönner!“ Der Artikel hält uns den Spiegel vor Augen, wo wir in der Tat stehen, auch wenn der Blickpunkt auf dem Ausland lag! Der amüsante aber dennoch ernst zu nehmende Beitrag bestätigt, dass diese so hoch gepriesene Technologie des Mobilfunks der menschlichen Evolution dahingehend schadet, dass der homo sapiens nicht nur in seiner Entwicklung stehen bleibt, sondern sich zurück entwickelt. Ja, er wird unter dem Deckmäntelchen des wirtschaftlichen Wachstums und des dringend erforderlichen technologischen Fortschritts im Zuge der (alles vernichtenden) Globalisierung in eine Abhängigkeit manipuliert und unterliegt damit schlichtweg einem Verdummungsprozess!

Das Verhalten von Fanatikern ist allseits bekannt. Doch dass der Mensch sich von einem kleinen flachen Metallkörper mit einigen Funktionstasten kontrollierbar und abhängig machen lässt, ist ein Zeichen der Verarmung an geistiger Entwicklung. Die Benutzung scheint jegliche menschliche Kontrollfunktion im Gehirn auszuschalten. Was im Artikel mit Handy-Schnitzeljagd beschrieben wird, haben wir Nachkriegskinder unter freien Himmel als Natur-Schnitzeljagd gespielt. Unser „mehr-Gewinn lag dabei in der Kreativität, Naturverbundenheit und nicht zu vergessen der Freude an der Unabhängigkeit und Freiheit! Zu welchen absurden und perversen Ideen der Mensch durch den technologischen Fortschritt kommt, ist nicht nur erschreckend, sondern schädlich für ein gesundes Gedeihen insbesondere der Kinder und Jugendlichen! Der fast nicht kontrollierbare Missbrauch, der viele in die Schuldenfalle treibt, lässt Eltern hilflos zurück. Dennoch, sind sie selbst auch im Besitz eines „Monsters“, so dass jegliche Vorbildfunktion auch nur versagen muss!

Eine Rettung derer, denen die Mobilfunk-Besessenheit generell und auch aus gesundheitlichen Gründen auf den Wecker geht, kann nur in den „Cell-phone Jammers“ (Handy-Killer) liegen. SOS, wo ist der nächste Schwarzmarkt zwecks Erwerb dieses dringend benötigten Gerätes, um als „Passiv-Handy-Telefonierer“ noch einigermaßen gesund durch dieses Leben gehen zu können, auch wenn Handys dank UMTS- und GPS-Technik bald “jeden Wunsch“ erfüllen!
