Virginia Well Records Sumatra-Andaman Islands Earthquake
Someone sent me a newspaper report about a well in West Virginia being affected by the tsunami. It sounded like hokum to me until I followed a link a few steps to:

Looks like water level in observation well rose about 1.8 feet 1 hour after earthquake, then plummeted about 3 feet in the next 45 minutes before returning to a jittery sinusoidal, probably tidal oscillation (which had been smooth before) about 2.2 feet below ground level.
