The RED phone
Well, we wondered at the way O2 capitalised on the Make Poverty History, didn't we?
Did anyone else spot the Independent RED issue today? Seems we are often in a battle against one man-made harm by hitting it with another. Imagine the environmental impact of throwing away old phones for new, and OK money goes to Aids, but encourages more phone use (ironically containing exploitative Coltan from the Congo), and injuring the mainly western users instead. And you can be sure it will do operators and manufacturers no harm at all to be selling these!
