A resolution approved by the Clay County Commission in Celina was intended to squelch protests at funerals, a not-so-subtle ploy to deter disturbances at the funeral of Sgt. Wesley Tucker, a Clay County soldier who recently died in Iraq. But the wording of the measure that was passed last week, restricting protesters to an out-of-the-way spot at the local sanitation department, appears to put a damper on protests of any kind, whether associated with a funeral or not.
