For decades, the process of America losing its liberty and becoming a police state has been a gradual one. But since 9/11, the pace has rapidly accelerated. Humiliating body searches at airports, universal police surveillance, no-fly lists, detentions without trial, torture, invasion of countries that haven't threatened us, and endless war have rapidly become standard operating procedure for the new evil empire. Now we find ourselves at the brink of a vicious American police state, and a law now before Congress is about to push us over...
