Prepping For Debate

by Jonathan Tasini

TomPaine.com Exclusive

Here's a handy roadmap to the lies and obfuscations President Bush will be serving up tomorrow night.

http://www.tompaine.com/articles/prepping_for_debate.php

Children’s Health Month in October

The Bush campaign’s spin machine has created another election-year ploy: Children’s Health Month in October

Bush’s Children’s Health Month web site advises parents on how to protect their kids from a dirty environment. How nice. But if President Bush were serious about children’s health, he would clean up the environment by strengthening air pollution laws and controlling toxics like mercury. Instead, he’s repeatedly let polluters off the hook and watered down environmental protections.

The health of our kids is too important to be used as a political prop. If Bush won’t protect our kid’s health, at least he shouldn’t get away with claiming that he is!

This Friday’s presidential debate gives us an important opportunity to hold Bush accountable. Please send an email to George Bush’s campaign, criticizing his environmental record. Call on him to speak at the next debate about how he would improve our children’s health.

"Mobiles Lernen"

Zukünftige Chancengleichheit für Schüler ade?

GEW nennt Finanzierung durch Eltern "skandalös"

Frankfurt · 11.

Feds seize Indymedia servers

[ ... ]

Rackspace UK complied with a legal order and handed over hard disks without first notifying Indymedia. It's unclear if the raid was executed under extra-territorial provisions of US legislation or the UK's Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA). Provisions of RIPA make it a criminal offence to discuss warrants, so Rackspace would not be able to discuss the action with its customer Indymedia, or with the media.

[ ... ]

http://indymedia.org/en/static/fbi

On Thursday, 7 October around 18 GMT two Indymedia servers hosted by Rackspace in the UK went down.

The servers (ahimsa) host the sites of more then 20 local collectives, radio streams for several radio stations, BLAG (a Linux distribution as well as miscellanous other projects.

[ ... ]

The next day, 8 October Rackspace stated that they responded to a "Commissioner's subpoena". "Rackspace is acting as a good corporate citizen and is cooperating with international law enforcement authorities. The court prohibits Rackspace from commenting further on this matter."

[ ... ]

Indymedia failed to get information from authorities in the US and the UK. According to an AFP report, published on 8 October, "the FBI acknowledged that a subpoena had been issued but said it was at the request of Italian and Swiss authorities. 'It is not an FBI operation,' FBI spokesman Joe Parris told AFP." Indymedia could not get direct confirmation of this statements.

[ ... ]

Directly affected Indymedia sites:

The list of affected local media collectives includes Ambazonia, Uruguay, Andorra, Poland, Western Massachusetts, Nice, Nantes, Lilles, Marseille (all France), Euskal Herria (Basque Country), Liege, East and West Vlaanderen, Antwerpen (all Belgium), Belgrade, Portugal, Prague, Galiza, Italy, Brazil, UK, part of the Germany site, and the global Indymedia Radio site.

Infiltrating the U.S. Military

Gen. Boykin’s “Kingdom Warriors” On the Road to Abu Ghraib and Beyond

By Katherine Yurica

First the hard right dominionists took over the Southern Baptist Convention with its 16 million members and a fortune in corporate businesses. Then they took over the Republican Party. Now there is evidence dominionists are trying to take over the U. S. military. The article examines several new questions: Is there a direct connection between the Southern Baptist Convention and Pentecostal churches like John Ashcroft's Assemblies of God to General Boykin, Stephen Cambone and Donald Rumsfeld? Is it true that U.S. taxpayers are paying the seminary bills to educate chaplains who are planning to supplant the U.S. government? Was a chaplain sent to Abu Ghraib to torture prisoners on Rumsfeld's orders? Do not miss this solid article.

Iraq War Veteran's Suicide - He was Swallowed by Pain

The article below is the fifth in a series by the Dayton Daily News detailing the readjustment concerns faced by returning combat veterans. As the Department of Veterans Affairs confirmed last week, VA has no idea of the scope of the problem. And VA doesn't know if it has the resources to assist these veterans.

Mental health care: need and value

Here is an issue that should be front and center during this election: taking care of our soldiers when they return home from war. The Roanoke Times Editorial Board writes, "From Iraq veterans to the uninsured of Western Virginia, the need for and financial benefits of treatment are evident. Yet funding is a challenge."

http://www.veteransforcommonsense.org/NewsArticle.cfm?ID=2199

VA Funding Fails to Meet Increased Demand for Services, Groups Say

Oct 11 - In the wake of a July study’s revelation of a "significant risk" of increased mental disorders for soldiers returning from active combat duty in the Middle East, some veterans' groups voiced their concerns that Congress has allocated insufficient funds to effectively address this problem. The July 1 report, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, was the product of a 2003 study by a group of doctors from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.

A son's fallen soldier

The Iraq War comes home. According to Newsday, "Yesterday, Brandon Pettaway, a sixth-grade student at Southampton Intermediate School, buried his dad, Staff Sgt. James L. Pettaway Jr. Pettaway, 37, an Army reservist who lived in Baltimore, died last Sunday at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, of wounds he suffered in Iraq Aug. 27."

http://www.veteransforcommonsense.org/NewsArticle.cfm?ID=2198

Families Make Plans to Skip Military Draft

The article below indicates families with teen-aged children are taking the threat of a military draft very seriously. As soldiers are placed on "stop loss" and more Reserve and National Guard are ordered to fight in the deepening quagmire in Iraq, the prospect for forced military conscription of both men and women aged 18 to 34 increases.

http://www.veteransforcommonsense.org/NewsArticle.cfm?ID=2197

The military draft and a credibility gap

Young people smell a rat, and now the press smells the odor of misleading statements about the draft. The Roanoke Times Editorial Board says there is a "credibility gap" with the current administration, and that "Talk of a draft won't be silenced by promises from an administration that can't shoot straight." Another interesting fact about this editorial is that is comes from rural Virginia, indicating that Washington's Iraq War policy may be seriously out of touch with middle America.

Steirischer MOBILFUNK Herbst

Powder sucks moisture out of thunderstorm

Copyright © 2001 Nando Media

By AMANDA RIDDLE, Associated Press

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (July 19, 6:51 p.m. PDT) - In its latest test, a powder promoted as a potential way to weaken hurricanes sucked the moisture out of a thunderstorm Thursday.

An airplane dropped $40,000 worth of the Dyn-O-Gel granules into a cloud 10 miles offshore. A television station's weather radar confirmed the cloud then lost moisture.

"The people in the tower visually confirmed that there was a tall buildup and the next moment it was gone," said Kevin Sullivan, control tower supervisor at the Palm Beach International Airport.

The granules, made by a company called Dyn-O-Mat, fell into the ocean as a gel-like substance that dissolves in salt water.

Company chief executive Peter Cordani said he hopes to sell the product to the federal government after more tests. The product is dropped in a line from the outer portion of the hurricane to its eye. The company contends that by dropping moisture out of the swirling mass, the storm is weakened.

The company said a granule absorbs 2,000 times its weight in water.

Hugh Willoughby, hurricane research director at the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Miami, was skeptical that the powder could reduce a hurricane's strength by more than a few mph in wind speed.

"It might be that this stuff would be great for making it rain," he said Wednesday.

GREEN CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATES ISSUE A '2004 UNITY STATEMENT'

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Green Party candidates for Congress have issued a 'Green Party 2004 Unity Statement', featuring a list of progressive and ecological positions on vital issues in the 2004 election.

The 27 candidates, organized as the Coordinated Congressional Campaign, address topics that most Republican and Democratic candidates have ignored, including the need for single-payer national health insurance, decisive steps to prevent global warming (such as rejoining the Kyoto agreement), and repeal of the USA Patriot Act.

The statement's call to "Get the U.S. out of Iraq" is consistent with the Green Party's outspoken opposition to the invasion and occupation. The text of the statement is appended below.

430 Green candidates have declared so far in 2004. Greens are running races in 40 States, for 74 different kinds of offices. As of mid September, Green candidates have won 29 elections in 2004.

* * * * *

Vote Green -- Green Party candidates announce the Green Party 2004 Unity Statement to stand together in campaigning for our families, our communities, our nation and our planet. We promise to work for a fair economy, a safe environment, a strong democracy, and a sane foreign policy.

2004 UNITY STATEMENT

GET THE US OUT OF IRAQ

We are squandering the wealth of our nation on war, not in defense of our country but to gain control of the resources of another sovereign nation. Instead of fighting for oil, we need to make the transition to renewable sources of energy. We need to work for peace by cooperative non-violent ways. We need to export the values of the constitution not bullets or bombs.

SECURITY THROUGH PEACE AND JUSTICE

Crimes against humanity must be dealt with swiftly and justly, in accord with international law and without violating or curtailing civil rights.

Peace will be attained through diplomacy, commitment to human rights, and by reducing the gulf between the rich and the poor. The Patriot Act must go, and a Department of Peace must be created. We will end weapons sales to repressive governments, and will demand compliance with UN resolutions as a starting point for peace negotiations.

HEALTH CARE COVERAGE FOR ALL AMERICANS

That so many Americans remain uninsured is intolerable in the most medically and economically advanced nation in the world. An uninsured person is far more likely to die than someone with health care coverage, at any age. The Greens' single payer universal health care plan will not only provide care for all: it will save money and save lives. Provide full funding for, and guarantee access to, all reproductive health and family planning services.

RESTORATION OF DEMOCRACY

Allow a voice for all people, understanding that corporations are not people! Provide public campaign financing and access of third parties to government, by revising election laws and implementing Instant Runoff Voting and Proportional Representation. Enforce the Voting Rights Act; end election fraud.

ENERGY INDEPENDENCE

Turn the tide of global warming and assure a safe, uninterrupted supply of energy by drastically reducing fossil fuel use and supporting production of decentralized, renewable energy sources. Fund the rapid shutdown of nuclear power plants; include funds for retraining displaced workers. Jump-start the renewables market through investment policies. Restore conservation measures, including meaningful automobile fuel efficiency standards.

CORPORATE REFORM

Mandate corporate accountability. End corporate personhood. Get a fair share of taxes from corporations and stop corporate flight to off-shore tax havens. End corporate welfare as we know it. Eliminate trade treaties like GATT, NAFTA, and FTAA: they are abominations that undermine national sovereignty. Implement new treaties that protect communities, business, labor, the environment, and national sovereignty. Require rigorous clinical safety and environmental impact testing of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.

FAIR TRADE, FAIR LABOR

Abolish slave labor and the corporate practice of paying sub-poverty level wages. Refuse trade where sweatshop or prison labor is involved. Protect workers' right to organize; repeal Taft-Hartley. Reform the tax code to promote sustainable productivity. Tax unearned wealth before income. Develop jobs programs and an inviolable social safety net to protect people during low points in the economic cycle.

PREVENTIVE SOCIAL SPENDING AND POLICIES

End the failed War on Drugs and fund prevention and treatment. Fund public education for all, including vocational and post-secondary schooling. Provide equal opportunity for minorities and women. Abolish the death penalty. Make restitution to historically oppressed groups by providing funding for infrastructure in minority neighborhoods and by committing to eradicating institutionalized racism. Bring back the Equal Rights Amendment. Protect a woman's right to control her own body.

PREVENTIVE FOREIGN SPENDING AND POLICIES

No trillion dollar first-strike space weapons; no more nonfunctioning helicopters. Drastically reduce the military budget, eliminating all expenditures for offensive weapons. Allocate a portion of the savings to relieve debt in developing countries. Commit our funds to humanitarian, not military aid.

SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES AND FAMILY FARMS

Rewrite corporate charters. Promote local development in order to ensure long-term economic health. Replace petrochemical-based fertilizers with organics, to protect our water supply from toxic runoffs. Ban use of genetically modified agricultural products.

SURVIVAL OF THE PLANET

Sign the Kyoto protocol, and adhere to it. Strengthen and enforce environmental regulations. Restore the Clean Air Act standards on coal-generating emissions. Fund studies to identify, and eliminate, the environmental causes of cancer. Fully fund the Toxic Waste Superfund through renewed corporate taxation. Ensure the health of the planet for survival's sake, and to ensure the health of human beings today. Outlaw patenting of genetically engineered life forms. Include pollution remediation costs in production costs ("eco-taxing"), and phase out non-sustainable production. Repeal the Price-Anderson Act.

Die Taktik von BfS ist zu benennen

Auszug

Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz veröffentlicht Stellungnahme zur "Naila-Studie"

Anm. Krzysztof Puzyna: andere, neueste Kritik des BfS betrifft ungarische Studie " Zusammenhang zwischen regelmäßigem Handy-
Gebrauch und menschlicher Samenqualität"-
http://iddd.de/umtsno/bocian.htm#bfsk

http://iddd.de/umtsno/hhtrans.htm#bfs

(siehe Beweise: http://iddd.de/umtsno/60krebs.htm#beweis

Z.B. Bei der Kritik der Arbeit des Ungarn Dr. Imre Fejes
http://iddd.de/umtsno/bocian.htm#bfsk
http://iddd.de/umtsno/emfspermien.pdf

Global climate change may be coming even quicker then previously believed

TODAY'S WEATHER - Oread Daily

Well, it looks worse than we thought. Global climate change may be
coming even quicker then previously believed. Atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas, have reportedly made a sudden jump over a two-year period. The rise cannot be explained by any corresponding increase in CO2 emissions from power stations or motor vehicles because there has been none. Some scientists believe the abrupt rise may be evidence of the climate change "feedback" mechanism, by which global warming alters the earth's natural systems, causing warming to increase even faster than before.

Feedback is what happens when a part of the output of a process or a system returns to affect the input. Positive feedback, which is what it looks like is happening, which occurs when the output goes back to add force to the input, can magnify the whole process until it takes on a "runaway" character. The fear of climate scientists is that just such a positive feedback might occur with global warming, in which the warming itself precipitates changes in the earth's natural systems, which themselves cause additional warming, which then causes further changes, and so on, in an unstoppable acceleration. This fear is well founded, because records of ancient climates deduced from cores driven deep into the polar ice show that this has happened in the past: previous episodes of warming at the end of ice ages have indeed developed a runaway character, with enormous temperature rises of as much as 10 degrees centigrade in 50 years.

The rise in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere in the last two years is unprecedented. Between 2001 and 2002 the number of parts per million of carbon dioxide rose from 371.02 to 373.10 - an increase of 2.08 over the year. Then it rose again in 2003 to 375.64 - an increase of 2.54. Rises in carbon dioxide levels have been attributed to a rise in Pacific ocean temperatures and in the past have been associated with an El-Nino. However, there was no El-Nino in these years of dramatic rise now being reported.

There are a number of possible global warming feedbacks, but the major fear associated with the current jump in CO2 is that the ability of the earth's forests and oceans to remove massive amounts of it from the atmosphere may be compromised.

Meanwhile, researchers at the University of Colorado at Boulder have found that the extent of Arctic sea ice, the floating mass of ice that covers the Arctic Ocean, is continuing its rapid decline. The latest satellite information indicates the September 2004 sea ice extent was 13.4 percent below average, a reduction in area nearly twice the size of Texas, said Mark Serreze of CU-Boulder's National Snow and Ice Data Center, or NSIDC. In 2002, the decline in arctic sea ice during September -- which traditionally marks the end of the summer melt season -- was about 15 percent, a record low, said CU- Boulder researcher Walt Meier of NSIDC. Serreze said, "This is the third year in a row with extreme ice losses, pointing to an acceleration of the downward trend." He adds, "Climate models are in general agreement that one of the strongest signals of greenhouse warming will be a loss of Arctic sea ice."

In another study at CU-Boulder, , Shari Fox Gearheard looked at the effects of climate change on Inuit communities in the Arctic region. "The timing of the climate and environmental changes observed by Inuit in Nunavut vary depending on the phenomenon, but in many cases elders and other experienced Inuit point to the last decade as a period of considerable change," Gearheard said. Nunavut is a Canadian Territory that is roughly the size of Western Europe. Gearheard said one of the most frequent observations in indigenous communities all across the circumpolar north is that the weather is more unpredictable than usual. "In the past, Inuit were able to predict the weather using traditional indicators such as clouds, winds and currents," she said. "These indicators are no longer working." Inuit elders point out that the sea ice in some places is thinner, causing dangerous travel conditions, she said. The ice forms later and breaks up earlier in the year, and the spring melt season is much shorter than before. In addition, unexpected storms have left hunting parties stranded, and harder packed snow due to recent wind changes makes it more difficult to build igloos for shelter.

And down under the effects of climate change are also well underway. "South-west Western Australia underwent a sudden climate change 25 years ago of the scale that we have only been expecting in the rest of Australia about 2040," Brian Sadler, of the Indian Ocean Climate Initiative told an international workshop on adaptation to climate change in Wellington. Annual rainfall dropped by 20 per cent and the streamflows available to Perth dropped by 40 per cent. We at first thought we were in a long dry period," Sadler said. "Only in 1996 did an international conference held in Perth identify the shift – the cause of which was still not known for certain." Sadler comments, "Climate change is coming, ready or not."

Frankreichs Theater wollen Handy-Empfang stören

Montag 11. Oktober 2004, 10:40 Uhr

Pre-emptive war policy is dangerous

Pre-emptive war policy is dangerous, no matter who's pushing it

by Elizabeth Sullivan

Cleveland Plain Dealer

10/10/04

President Bush may have alienated allies and perhaps mortally wounded the United Nations' already flawed ability to impose sanctions and nuclear safeguards with his rush to war. But the core philosophy that undergirded the 2003 Iraq attack is the same one that Democrats and Republicans both have promoted since the Cold War ended. Democratic challenger Sen. John Kerry and his party long have argued that Saddam needed to be disarmed by the application of military force, if necessary, to get the job done. The question is to what degree 'preventative' or pre-emptive war will continue to guide U.S. policies, perhaps taking us into Iran or Syria, or whether the Iraq adventure has sapped our appetite for this type of intervention...

A Milli Vanilli President?

by Dave Lindorff

In These Times

10/09/04

President George W. Bush has claimed that that God speaks to him. More worldly voices, it now appears, may also be speaking to him at key moments. Viewers and journalists watching Bush in his first debate with Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry have commented on his odd behavior in Miami. To some he seemed peevish and antsy -- almost wired. Now there is evidence that he may have been -- in an electronic way -- by having cues and lines fed to him through a hidden high-tech earpiece. Several things about the first debate have led to this speculation. Many people who watched the debate remarked on Bush's sometimes-bizarre comments and behavior during the evening.

At one point he angrily blurted 'Now, let me finish!' midway through a long, timed answer and well before he would have received a warning light to wrap up his comments. Compounding the strangeness was that he didn't seem to be addressing his remark to either moderator Jim Lehrer or Kerry and no one had spoken or even hinted at interrupting him...

Selflessness, the right way

Selfishness, the right way

The most prestigious of contemporary moral philosophers favor the morality of fairness and impartiality. By this they tend to mean we all ought to think first of everyone's welfare across the globe as we decide how we are going to conduct ourselves. Although they often implore us to fashion public policies by this standard, in fact they intend this to be something we ought to do in our most private decisions as well. ... This is quite a preposterous demand, comparable to the Christian ethics that demand we imitate Christ as we live our lives. But at least the Christians tend to be willing to allow for our imperfections -- Roman Catholics didn't invent confession for nothing. What Unger & Co. -- and in his ethics Unger is joined by many others, including the famous Princeton philosopher and animal liberation advocate Peter Singer -- want from us is total altruism, living entirely for others...

How vets can get help

The article below is the fourth in a four-part series by the Dayton Daily News detailing the mental health needs of combat veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan. This article lists the resources available to veterans and their families. Every veteran who serves in a war deserves a "welcome home" and readjustment services they earned, as needed, when they needed. That's the square deal we make with our Nation's citizen soldiers when we send them to war.

Bush Changes Reasons for Starting Iraq War (Again)

Compare these quotes: In March 2003, President George Bush said, "Saddam Hussein [has] biological weapons sufficient to produce over 25,000 liters of anthrax -- enough doses to kill several million people." In contrast, Bush recently said, "And [Iraq] could have passed that knowledge on to our terrorist enemies." This, too, is another deception, because the CIA and the 9/11 Commission confirmed there are no links between the 9/11 attacks and Iraq.

Warum Blutuntersuchungen?

Bürgerinitiative Gesund leben in Allach informiert

Warum Blutuntersuchungen?

(Siehe "Mobilfunksender abgebaut"):
http://www.franz-titscher.de/mobilfunk/html/mobilfunksender_abgebaut_.html

Sexual assaults haunt victims after military discharge

The price of war: At 22, Natalie Longee is already a veteran in the war on terror. She has guarded prisoners at Guantanamo Bay and escorted truck convoys in Iraq. She has heard the bombs, survived ambushes and seen the cost of war first hand. And she is traumatized. But it's not the war that has her most rattled. It is the fear than she will be raped again. Six months since her military discharge, Longee joins the ranks of veterans seeking help from the trauma of sexual assaults perpetrated by fellow soldiers. "I am not just scared of bombs," Longee said. "I'm scared people are going to come in. I am scared of rape happening again."

The Promise of the First Amendment

Veterans for Common Sense believes our First Amendment rights must be protected for all, otherwise they are meaningless. The publisher of the New York Times thinks the police should stay away from reporters because reporters retain a critical role in a healthy democracy. Although Judy Miller, the reporter facing jail time for the Valerie Plame scandal, is also tainted with promoting lies about Iraq's non-existent weapons of mass destruction, she still deserves the full protection of the U.S. Constitution.

The true center of conservative power

by Thomas Paine

April 16, 2003

What is the true center of conservative power in the United States? Is it the hate mongering, personal attacks and smears toward opponents? Is it the large campaign contributions of wealthy individuals and powerful corporations to secure beneficial legislation and tax cuts? Is it the near total control of the media? Is it the ramming of conservative judges through the legislature and control of most of the courts? Or is it hawkish foreign policy and bribes to foreign governments? While these actions support the main goal, it is actually none of these. The true center of conservative power, the mantra they live by, and basis of their rhetoric, is their economic policy.

Put simply, economics is the study of what gets made, how to make it, and who gets it. Economics takes as an axiom that there are limited resources, and for each thing that gets made, there is a corresponding cost of what did not get made. Economic policy then becomes what the government decides to make, how to make it, and who gets it, or more succinctly, the government decides what to allow, and not allow with regard to these decisions. Using the theories created by an economics student in the United Kingdom as a basis, who by the way won a Nobel Prize for his work, the conservative economic strategy is all about control and greed. Under the cover of globalization, this economic policy exalts free trade, cheap labor, tax cuts, reduction of government spending on education and welfare, privatization of national assets, removal of environmental protections, and a secret international commission with more power than the United Nations to protect corporate interests. So, the conservative economic policy is to allow corporations and the wealthy to demand more work for less pay, allow corporations to pollute to reduce costs, cut spending on education and benefits, give taxpayer funded subsidies and low cost loans to corporations, limit ability to challenge the corporations, blame the poor for their own poverty while at the same time cutting their pay and benefits, remove controls and regulations on corporations, and pay themselves for their hard work at the same time. All paid for by the American taxpayer, as well as the sweatshops, prison laborers and child laborers of third world nations. Do not underestimate the power of these strategies, which in combination virtually enslave the middle and lower class in an economic straightjacket, while at the same time funnel most of the nations wealth into the hands of a very few, most of whom are devout conservatives. It is a new and more sophisticated form of feudalism, with the elite rich calling the shots, and a vastly increased poor class that toils to support it.

The only way to break this economic monster, is to create and implement a new economic theory that limits the ability of corporations to stifle competition, promotes educational and civic spending, protects countries from the manipulations of more powerful corporations, and embraces fair market practices, worker protections, just compensation, and environmental sustainability. These concepts are anathema to corporate interests, which exist to squeeze every ounce of wealth from the world for their own benefit, regardless of the costs in lives, the environment, and morals.

How can we do it? First, we need a new theory that debunks the myth of the current globalization fiasco, and the bankrupt economic theories behind it. Then we need to get the word out to the rest of the world that we have a new answer, a better solution, and one that will aid the growth of the people of the world, as opposed to suppressing them with chains made of dollars. Then we need to come together and make sure our government implements these new theories, through the power of our vote. Let your representatives know, that if they don’t support the new and more just economics, they will not reside in power for long. We can make a difference if we come together peacefully, and not be swayed by violence, hate, or pressure from above. Gandhi removed the British from India, Martin Luther King Jr. brought about civil rights, now it is time for the end of economic slavery. We are the true power of the United States, We The People, and don’t let anyone convince you otherwise! Free marketers and globalization supporters have had their chance, and have shown the utter failure of their policies to help anyone but themselves. Now is the time for the people of the world to put a stop to the madness of rampant greed, which as we can see leads to unjust wars and millions of starving and homeless people. Let your government know that you will not stand for it any longer.
