Believe it or not, my first communication from New Orleans area came from Chef Paul Prudhomme today. I am a customer, and he sent out a very full report on what is happening. It is good that one of my icons is still alive and functional.

A note from a reader who makes an excellent point:

"[...] Last night, while I was watching the horrors in the south from Hurricane Katrina, I thought, not only how Bush has made it worse for those people because of our National Guard is gone, with their equipment destroying Iraq, and not being here to help; but that his policies have led to increased global warning which have created these increased intensity storms. I fear that we shall be referring to New Orleans in the future as New Atlantis - the city that once was!"

It is good to see that Bush IS getting criticism, finally. Though of course his administration is trying to blame the New Orleans leaders. The man has no feelings, none, for anyone other than himself. He should be removed under the 25th amendment... (I think it is the 25th)
