SEVEN clusters of cancer and other serious illnesses have been discovered around mobile phone masts, raising concerns over the technology’s potential impact on health.

Studies of the sites show high incidences of cancer, brain haemorrhages and high blood pressure within a radius of 400 yards of mobile phone masts.

One of the studies, in Warwickshire, showed a cluster of 31 cancers around a single street. A quarter of the 30 staff at a special school within sight of the 90ft high mast have developed tumours since 2000, while another quarter have suffered significant health problems.

In 2001, a scientist found out that there is some harmful radiation emitted from mobile phone that causes cancer and brain tumours to human beings. Only low level of radiation is emitted is the answer given by mobile phone companies but tests have proven that even low level of radiation brings in harmful effects to human being when mobiles are used frequently. Continuous exposure to electromagnetic rays causes damage to the cell structures and ends up with brain tumours.

Another scientist and a well-known neurosurgeon have concluded after several researches that Brain tumour has become the leading threat overhauling blood cancer. The tumour patients have developed the tumours near the same side of the ears where they use the cell phones.

Residents of Forest House in Carnarvon Road claim the masts on the roof are a danger to health (EL3161-2)

HOPES that mobile phone masts will be removed from a South Woodford road are fading as telecommunications companies still refuse to acknowledge there is any danger.

Residents of Carnarvon Road, dubbed cancer street,' due to the unusually high number of residents with the condition, were buoyed by the decision last week to remove a mast from a similarly blighted tower of doom' in Bristol.

Dear Ms Meara

Your information and responses are outdated as so much is changing and more technology is being put out. I have seen all the info you sent before and none of it is relevant to what is happening now.

The MTHR website is now dead or dormant, which says it all. You should look at it sometime! If MTHR is to define the priorities for studies on mixed exposures then we can probably already deduce the result. "Below the ICNIRP guidelines and no harm caused!"

Reliable and respected scientists obtain realistic results by research and monitoring in situ but in the UK this is not procedure.

We have to wonder why and question this as we also question the Essex University exercises.

The Primary Care Trusts, GPs etc have no information on the effects of pulsed microwave radiation, which are never-the-less well documented, so medically trained people are unlikely to even be aware of such possibility, or the majority will dismiss the possibility that EMR might be the cause. How then can cancer clusters be evaluated fairly? Why should people who become unwell or die be short - changed because all the possiblities are not explored?

Please do not try to tell me that medical staff are aware because hundreds of electrosensitives and concerned people have been rebuffed or told the technology is not harmful.

By the way, electrosensitivity is now also outdated. We are electromagnetic sensitives.
