PRESS RELEASE AIDS and Avian Flu, Plagues, Made in America? Researchers and scientists recommend an emergency restraining order on MedImmune Vaccines, Inc., FLU MIST

According to researcher team, Dr. Mark and David Geier, the current flu vaccines are not only ineffective against the expected Avian Bird Flu pandemic but that "the FDA Approved thimerosal/mercury-free FLU MIST (MedImmune Vaccines, Inc., Gaithersburg, MD) vaccine may create a super strain virus plague", warns Dr. Mark Geier.

The well respected research team has already alerted members of the medical community in Washington, DC recommending that any support for the FluMist vaccine be withdrawn immediately and a restraining order be issue to the vaccine manufacturers. The immediate and present danger lies in the suspicion that the FluMist contains 2 key genetic sequences needed for efficient human-to-human transmission that the avian flu is missing.

FluMist is a live cold-adapted trivalent nasally administered vaccine, which is currently being recommended for individuals between the age of 5 and 49 years. According to the 2005 Physicians Desk Reference (PDR), the probability of acquiring a transmitted vaccine virus following close contact with a single FluMist inoculee was estimated to be 2.4% (95% CI: 0.13-4.6) [31]. Because of the possible transmission of this vaccine’s viruses, vaccine recipients are advised to avoid close contact with immuno-compromised individuals for at least 21 days. Additionally, persons with conditions such as human immunodeficiency virus infection, malignancy, leukaemia, or lymphoma, and patients who may be immunosuppressed or have altered or compromised immune status as a consequence of treatment with systemic corticosteroids, alkylating drugs, antimetabolites, radiation, or other immunosuppressive therapies, may be at significant risk if exposed within 21 days to a FluMist vaccine inoculee. Other individuals who might be at high risk if exposed within 21 days to FluMist inoculees, include, but are not limited to, adults and children with chronic disorders of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, including asthma (which up to 25% of today’s children seem to have); pregnant women; and adults and children who required regular medical follow-up or hospitalization during the preceding year because of chronic metabolic diseases (including diabetes), renal dysfunction, or hemoglobinopathies. Additionally, because FluMist contains live influenza viruses, there is the possibility with the widespread use of FluMist , that an individual might have a second concurrent viral infection with another influenza strain (such as the avian bird flu), with the possibility that the live viruses from the FluMist recombine/re-assort with the second viral infection to produce a " super virus. " It is obvious from the extensive list of persons who might be at risk if exposed to a FluMist vaccine recipient within 21 days of vaccination, along with potential ability of the live influenza viruses within FluMist to recombine/re-assort with other viruses, that the continued use of FluMist presents a significant potential danger to the health and well - being of a wide segment of the population. This raises major concerns about the wisdom and ethics of recommending the use of FluMist for use in the general population.

Etiology of the Avian bird flu

According to Dr. Boyd Graves, who has been marginalized over the years by "official" government medical communities for speaking up about the possibility that AIDS was purposefully designed to be a ethnic specific virulent, genocidal agent, Avian flu pandemic could be science run amuck. "Amidst the current Centers for Disease Control media orchestrated public panic over the Avian Flu Pandemic, more and more scientists are beginning to look at the appearance of these lethal virulents as being adapted by science, genetically recombined as biowarfare agents, made in America," says Graves.

The historical trail traces itself back to the 1843 discovery of the infectious agent (MYCOPLASMA) for the "SPOTTED LEAF DISEASE", also known as the "TOBACCO MOSAIC VIRUS . " "At the core of human (cancer) disease", says Graves, is this ‘mycoplasma’ entity that has been weaponized over time realizing lethal and incapacitating conditions for humanity".

"The development of the mycoplasma from plant to animal to human is clear", asserts Graves. "By 1898 the United States had realized the mycoplasma in cows, bovine spongiform encephalitis (BSE). By 1902, they had realized it in horses, equine infectious anemia virua (EIAV), in 1904, they realized it in goats, caprine arthritic encephalitis virus (CAEV). By 1910, they had realized it in fowl, Rous Sarcoma Virus (RSV)", reports Graves after years and years of committed research into the subject.

According to page 14 – 15 of the 1978 progress report of the U.S. Special Virus program, the 1910 RSV is a product of recombinant genetics. Further review will show the 1918 Spanish Flu was a recombinant bird virus. "The same is true of the 2005 Avian flu’, comments Graves.

Is "recombinant" a natural occurrence in Nature or man made or both?

In 1918, the pandemic began not in a port city of this country, but in the Midwest. Tom Rogers, a whistleblower, working in the field of virology in the 1990s explains that the scientists who are "in the know" look towards the mid west, in specific, Missouri , to read the pulse of bird carrying plagues. "Birds from Asia and Europe converge at this spot due to the convergence of the Mississippi, Ohio and Missouri river. Various viruses recombine organically", says Rogers. Rogers tells the story about the Missouri birthplace of the USA born deadly Flu of 1918 claiming that it was purposefully misnamed "Spanish Flu" as a distraction. He tells how A.J. Cohen, a veterinarian in Missouri in 1918 warned meat packers and distributors that a super virus was killing off pullets and piglets. However, Cohen was not only disregarded but his life was threatened by industry. "These meats were sent throughout the nation and ultimately over seas", claim s Rogers. American soldiers were exposed first to the recombinant and their war travels spread the virus to wherever they went. In fact, more soldiers died from the Spanish Flu than those who died in World War I. Rogers claim is that there is no such thing as "jumping species" as might have been designed and refined by biotechnology techniques as claimed by Dr. Boyd Graves and Dr. Leonard Horowitz, a popular lecturer on the subject and author of AID, EBOLA and other viruses. Rogers claims that the virus passes amongst species due to "wrapping your lips" around it, as he likes to phrase it. As a result of his research into the etiology of non specific species transferred plagues Rogers is now a deeply committed Vegan…that is no meat, no milk. He says the only way you can get the Avian Flu is by "eating" the infected species, or via fluid exchange, like blood transfers, sex, and close saliva contacts , like in AIDS.

Although one can usually find an originating template for bacteria, viruses and drugs in nature, Dr. Boyd Graves claims that US government purposefully brought these lethal viruses to a dangerous new level through biotechnology and laboratory recombinant technologies

When the United States began the Tuskegee syphilis experiments in 1932, they also began the testing of the infectious agent of HIV, the sheep virus VISNA. HIV contains sequences from a 1932 strain of VISNA, strain ks1514. However, in the 1971 progress report (#8) of the U.S. Special Virus program (1971), the United States concedes that VISNA had not yet been associated with human disease.

The United States cannot explain how VISNA is the "etiological agent" of HIV, as they report in 1985, 1986 and 1995. See, Science Vol 227, pp. 173 – 7, January, 1985, see also, PROC NAS Vol 83, pp.4007 – 11, June 1986 and PROC NAS Vol 92, pp. 3283 – 87, April 11, 1995.

"I believe we can have a much better understanding of medicine and science if we review the U.S. Laboratory of Hygiene (circa 1878), the 1902 Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, the 1904 Station for Experimental Evolution and the 1926 MIT "Virus Cancer" Conference", says Graves. In addition, the May 1946 Appropriations Hearing addresses a ‘synthetic biological agent’ in "useable shape". "This is the recognition of the VISNA agent, which now wreaks havoc across the biomedical world", comments Graves. Dr. Boyd Graves is certain, that if we review and investigate the U.S. Special Virus program, we will solve not only HIV and AIDS, but we will answer many of the unknown origins of human disease. www.boydgraves.com

Meanwhile, Eileen Dannemann, director of the National Coalition of Organized women spearheading the collection of the various data wonders if the US government has been recently testing their virus collection on the greyhound dogs…hence the new canine flu epidemic causing CDC concerns about it "jumping species" and infecting humans. Tom Rogers would say don’t kiss your dog. Dr. Boyd Graves and Dr. Len Horowitz would say…just another covert clinical trial. Dr. Mark and David Geier would say, in any case take Tamaflu, a prescriptive drug that biomedically short circuits the progression of flu disease. "Unfortunately, Dannemann concludes, "Congress is so invested in spending millions of dollars stockpiling ineffective vaccines, there is no room at the CDC Inn for Tamaflu, a proven product that may save millions of lives. Perhaps the CDC doesn’t share patent royalties on Tamaflu", she sighs. "But in any case, I am a Vegan", she winks as she dabs biblical "essential oils" in her ears.

Harriet Miers was the fixer for Bush's National Guard Records Purge Posted on Monday, October 03, 2005 http://www.globalnewsmatrix.com

Aides to Texas Governor George W. Bush visited the Air National Guard archives at Camp Mabry in 1997 and possibly altered Bush's military service records to conceal Bush's grounding from flight in
1972 and subsequent missed duty, according to a former senior official of the Texas National Guard.

Bill Burkett, a Lt. Colonel who was the State Plans Officer of the Texas National Guard at the time, said Bush operative Dan Bartlett headed a high-level operation to "scrub" Bush's Air National Guard record, to make sure it was in synch with the biography that the campaign was preparing.

The book, "A Charge to Keep," was authored by Bush and his principal spokeswoman, Karen Hughes. Hughes was recently exposed during the DUI sidebar involving reporter Wayne Slater as the person who strictly controls what Bush is allowed to say.

At the time, Bartlett was Governor Bush's liaison to the Texas National Guard. Bartlett is now the campaign spokesman who has provided misleading information to the press on several occasions about Bush's military service.

In "A Charge to Keep," Bush briefly mentioned his National Guard service. After completing flight training in June 1970, Bush wrote, "I continued flying with my unit for the next several years."

In fact, according to reports by the Boston Globe, Democrats.com and TomPaine.com, Bush stopped flying only 22 months later in April
1972. He was subsequently grounded from flight on August 1, 1972 because he "failed to accomplish his annual physical."

There is no mention of the grounding in Bush's biography, which falsely implies that Bush continued flying until he left the National Guard.

When questioned by the press, Bush spokesman Dan Bartlett has offered several different reasons for this grounding. Initially Bartlett said that Bush could not get to Houston for his physical, but this was proved wrong when it was shown that Bush could have visited flight surgeons stationed in Alabama. Bartlett then said the F-102 fighter that Bush was trained to fly was removed from service, but this was proved wrong when it was shown that the F-102 remained in service in Bush's unit for two more years.

Democrats.com has speculated that Bush skipped his annual physical in 1972 because the Pentagon that year imposed random drug testing for the first time, and Bush feared he would fail the exam. Bush has admitted drinking heavily at the time, and has refused to deny using cocaine before 1974. Similar allegations have been reported in the Times of London and the New York Post.

Democrats.com has stressed the significance of Bush's grounding. Bush's pilot training cost the government nearly $1 million, and this was a huge investment that the Pentagon would not lightly abandon with two years remaining of a pilot's obligation. Moreover, pilots were badly needed at the time because of the war in Vietnam.

According to Democrats.com, Bush's grounding would normally have been reviewed by a Flight Inquiry Board of three senior officers, but there is no record that such a board was convened in Bush's case. Democrats.com has called for Bush to reveal his full military records, to put these and other charges to rest.

Moreover, Democrats.com and TomPaine.com have revealed that Bush did not report for duty for at least a year after he stopped flying, and possibly two years. Bush's official record shows no duty after April 1972, and his superior officers in both Alabama and Texas say they never saw him after that.

An official report issued on April 30, 1973 says "Lt. Bush has not been observed at this unit during the period of this report," from May 1 1972 to April 30, 1973. Rewards for proof that Bush reported for duty have been offered in Alabama and Texas and on the Internet, but no one has claimed the rewards.

During the campaign, Bush has attempted to fend off charges that he did not report for duty. When charges were raised about the time he spent in Alabama in the fall of 1972, Bush insisted that he reported for duty. "I can't remember what I did. I just - I fulfilled my obligation," he said. Bush has specifically disputed the recollection of ret. Brig. Gen. William Turnipseed, who says he is "dead-certain" that Bush did not report for duty in Alabama. ''I read the comments from the guy who said he doesn't remember me being there, but I remember being there," Bush said.

Internet activists led by Iowa farmer Martin Heldt and retired Air National Guard pilot Bob Rogers have been campaigning to expose Bush's failure to report for duty since May 23, 2000, when the Boston Globe first reported on a "one-year gap" in Bush's military duty. Heldt created a discussion board at Salon Magazine charging that Bush was "AWOL", which spurred an explosion of grassroots Internet activism.

Heldt and Rogers filed a Freedom of Information Act request for Bush's military records, which provided overwhelming evidence of Bush's missed duty, and served as the basis of the articles in Democrats.com and TomPaine.com.

On Thursday, Congressional Medal of Honor recipients Bob Kerrey and Daniel Inouye brought these charges to the attention of the national media, which has almost entirely ignored the work of Heldt and Rogers. "The question is where were you, Governor Bush?," said Inouye. "During my service, if I missed training for two years, at the least, I would have been court-martialed. I would have been placed in prison," he said.

To rebut this charge, the Bush campaign has relied on two mysterious documents. The documents are neither dated nor signed, which makes their legitimacy entirely questionable. Moreover, the document that the campaign claims covers the year from May 1972 to May 1973 is badly torn and can only be linked to Lt. George W. Bush by the letter "W". Finally, these documents are directly contradicted by Bush's official record, several signed memoranda, and the testimony of several witnesses.

Still, both the New York Times and George Magazine have used these mysterious documents as the basis for dismissing all of the other documents and witnesses which overwhelmingly show that Bush did not report for duty.

Thus, the assertion by Bill Burkett that Dan Bartlett and his operatives may have modified Bush's Air National Guard records takes on exceptional significance. Bartlett's "scrubbing" operation in
1997 could have inserted these mysterious documents, or removed significant information from the torn document. In addition, Bartlett's operation could have removed or altered other revealing documents.

Indeed, there is corroborating evidence that Bush campaign operatives have devoted considerable effort to "scrubbing" public records to conceal other evidence of Bush's wrongdoing. For example, Bush got a new driver's license after he was elected Governor, which appears to be completely unprecedented. This prevented reporters from discovering Bush's DUI arrest in Maine in 1976.

This new license may also be concealing a prior DUI or drug arrest in 1972 or 1973, when Bush went to work with an inner-city community service group in Houston called Project PULL. There has been considerable speculation that Bush performed this work as a form of alternative sentencing for a DUI or drug arrest, but reporters have been stymied by the fact that Bush's 1995 driver's license contains no prior information.

Moreover, Newsweek reported on July 9, 2000 that the Bush campaign "launched a secretive research operation designed to scour all records relating to his Vietnam-era service" during preparation for Bush's 1998 re-election campaign. They paid "hard-nosed Dallas lawyer named Harriet Miers" $19,000 to review the records. According to Newsweek, one result of her work was to deflect charges that former Texas House Speaker Ben Barnes helped Bush get into the Texas Air National Guard despite low qualifications and a long waiting list. Barnes was later forced to testify under oath that he helped Bush.

The same Newsweek article also discusses the absence of evidence that Bush fulfilled his orders to report for duty in Alabama in the fall of 1972. According to the article, "Dan Bartlett conceded that the records 'were either lost or misplaced... we are not sure.'" If Burkett's charges are true, Bartlett may have had a hand in losing or misplacing these records.

Burkett stops short of directly accusing Bartlett of "doctoring" Bush's records. Instead, Burkett faults the Bush campaign and senior officials of the Texas National Guard for incompetence in failing to release two key documents that would answer questions about Bush's absence from duty - but not his grounding from flight.

Burkett boils it down to a simple question: "Why didn't Governor Bush simply release his military pay files and retirement points accounting records, which are the only official records that will show that he satisfactorily and honorably completed his service commitment?"

The simple answer may be that these records would prove the opposite - that Bush never reported for duty after April 1972, and was simply "given" the points he needed for discharge by senior officers who wanted to preserve his "political viability" then - and now.

Bush's "Major Speech"

Despite the President's assertion that progress in Iraq is undeniable and irreversible, there is much evidence to the contrary. James Zogby writes that the Administration's troubles are compounded by the fact that the public's support for the war continues to decline, as does the President's own favorable ratings (now down to 37% in one poll). The stage was thus set for a "major speech."

Nobel Prize Slaps Bush Nuke Policy

Last week, the International Atomic Energy Agency and its chief, Mohamed ElBaradei, won the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts to stop the proliferation of nuclear weapons. The award was a slap at George W. Bush, who had pressed for ElBaradei's removal just months before. It was also a blow to Bush's policies of dealing with nuclear issues unilaterally, and the US focus on non-proliferation to the exclusion of disarmament - both of which are required by the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

BOTSWANA: Ethnische Säuberung erreicht Endphase

8 Okt 2005

September geschlagen.

FIRST VICTORY FOR THE BUSHPEOPLE! Please continue the TOTAL BOTSWANA BOYCOTT UNTIL THERE IS FREEDOM FOR ALL SAN! see: - http://www.khoisanpeoples.org/action/action-index.htm

BOTSWANA: COURT VICTORY FOR ONE BUSHMAN FAMILY
1 November 2005

The Botswana High Court ruled on Friday 28 October that the government must allow Bushman Amogolang Segootsane and his family to return to their land in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. It must also return his goats to him and allow him to bring water into the reserve.

Segootsane brought his case after he was prevented from going back to his home in the reserve. The government closed the reserve in September and removed all the Bushmen's goats, claiming they were diseased. An international panel of vets dismissed this reason as 'spurious'.

Dozens of Bushmen have been evicted from the reserve at gunpoint in recent weeks. Three Bushmen, including a seven-year old boy, have been shot and wounded. All the Bushmen involved in the Bushman organisation First People of the Kalahari were arrested and beaten when they tried to enter the reserve last month.

Tshatlha Ntwayamogala, who was evicted from the reserve this month, told the Telegraph newspaper, "They told us, 'when you leave this place, you leave as volunteers.' So we said 'if we are volunteers, we don't want to go.' They began threatening us. They told us, if we stay behind, they will end up killing us. One of the police said 'if you don't move, you will all be killed'."

Survival's director Stephen Corry said of Friday's court victory, 'This is great news. We're very pleased that the rights of the Segootsane family have been upheld by the court, although it remains to be seen whether the government will abide by the court's ruling. Now the government surely must also allow all the other evicted Bushmen to return home.'

Reclaiming the American Legacy of Civil Disobedience

TO's Sari Gelzer offers that one thing all Americans can do about their desire to see change in America is practice civil disobedience. This flavor of action is not just for radicals. Civil disobedience is the role of citizens within the political system and has a much broader legacy than one was taught to think. Civil disobedience, practiced by various movements of people, has been responsible for forcing politicians to comply with the demands of its citizens. Civil disobedience is how "slavery was ended, civil rights were won, it's how women won the right to vote, and it's how Vietnam ended," says Anthony Arnove, a writer, editor and activist based in New York.

Misuse of gene-altered crops can cause problem

by Rachel Melcer
rmelcer@post-dispatch.com
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
10/09/2005

http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/stories.nsf/sciencemedicine/story/6FDE2348942E2BBC8625709600196152

Two Missouri farmers are providing Monsanto Co. and a University of Missouri scientist with a cautionary tale: Misuse Monsanto's Roundup Ready weed-control system, and you're likely to create a stronger weed.

On two separate soybean fields in the northwest part of the state, scientists have found common waterhemp, also known as pigweed, that shows signs of resisting glyphosate herbicide. Creve Coeur-based Monsanto sells glyphosate as Roundup.

It is one of the most effective, relatively safe and commonly used agricultural weedkillers.

It also is the cornerstone of Monsanto's blockbuster Roundup Ready crop technology. The company has genetically modified soybeans, corn, cotton and canola to withstand glyphosate. The result: Growers can spray Roundup over the top of their fields to kill weeds without harming the crop. <http://oas-central.realmedia.com/RealMedia/ads/click_lx.ads/www.stltoday.com/news/sciencemedicine/295477530/Frame1/default/empty.gif/33663966373431353432363463666430?>

But if the same crop and herbicide are used on a field, year after year, weeds with a natural genetic resistance to glyphosate will survive - and thrive. Then each year, the number of resistant weeds can multiply until they choke the crop and reduce yield.

That is what happened on the northeast Missouri fields, said Kevin Bradley, extension weed scientist and assistant professor at the University of Missouri at Columbia. He would not identify the fields or farmers, but said the farmers had irresponsibly planted Roundup Ready soybeans every year since the seeds became available in 1996.

Waterhemp taken from their fields last year withstood eight times the recommended dose of Roundup. If field studies planned for next summer show that the ability is inherited by new generations of waterhemp - something that Bradley considers "highly likely" - then it will be classified as Roundup resistant.

Universities and agriculture companies try to teach growers to vary crops and weedkillers each year, Bradley said. "But it's their bottom line. We can tell them to rotate to this other herbicide, but (that) costs $2 or $3 more per acre. And it doesn't make financial sense to some of them. ... You just can't compete with the Roundup Ready system.

"Sometimes it's that attitude - 'It's not a problem until it's a problem on my property, and I'll deal with it when I get it.' And that's what we have here," he said.

Monsanto said 101.5 million acres in the United States were planted with Roundup Ready crops this year. The company globally sold nearly $1.6 billion in Roundup and other glyphosate products in the nine months that ended May 31.

And Roundup Ready traits account for the bulk of the $2.7 billion in seeds and traits Monsanto sold in the same period.

These sales could be threatened if the number of glyphosate-resistant weeds continues to multiply. Eight species globally - five in the United States - have been classified since 1996, according to a consortium of weed scientists.

Less than 1 percent of all planted crop acres in the United States have had problems with glyphosate resistant weeds, said Harvey Glick, director of scientific affairs for Monsanto. And the herbicide is designed to kill more than 100 species, so the percentage of those it does not affect is small. Still, "we take all of those cases very seriously," he said.

On Oct. 3, Monsanto debuted a Web site offering information to growers on how to avoid weed resistance and how to deal with it if it occurs. Last month, Monsanto competitor Syngenta AG did the same.

Yet some critics say the companies are doing too little, too late.

Margaret Mellon, director of the food and environment program for the nonprofit Union of Concerned Scientists, said Monsanto should have contractually required farmers using its Roundup Ready crops to rotate them each year.

"This is an absolutely predictable problem," she said. "I don't think anybody is surprised now that it is upon us."

The companies' stepped-up education effort "is an acknowledgment that it's a problem (and) that it's their problem," Mellon said. "I think they have a responsibility to be there, right up at the front of the response effort."

Monsanto is working with Bradley on Missouri's hardy waterhemp, just as it volunteers assistance to any extension scientist dealing with potentially resistant weeds. The typical result is advice for the growers on herbicides and mechanical methods that can be used alongside glyphosate to kill the resistant weeds.

These pests can be controlled, Bradley said. But there are challenges. If a resistant weed has seeds that become airborne, it can easily spread to neighboring fields. What's more, the number of agricultural pesticides available is limited, so it can be tough to find one that works well on a particular type of weed.

Waterhemp poses the latter problem. It "is one of those scary ones, in that we don't have a lot of (other) options for dealing with it," Bradley said.

Dealing with resistant weeds also diminishes key benefits of Roundup Ready crops: cost savings and reduced use of pesticides.

"It's not a bulletproof system. That's what we're learning," Bradley said. He estimates the two Missouri farmers will have to spend at least an additional $4 to $5 an acre to kill their waterhemp.

Still, no one believes that Roundup Ready crops will go away. They are too widespread, and the benefits outweigh costs, even when treating resistant weeds.

But more careful stewardship will be required, Mellon said. Glyphosate is valuable for many nonfarm uses - clearing foliage along roadways or around public facilities and maintenance around homes, for example. Growers and manufacturers should begin to guard it as a public trust, she said.

Bradley said he and other extension scientists will use the waterhemp example to wake up growers in states such as Missouri, Illinois and Iowa, where it had been a major pest before the Roundup Ready system.

"Maybe we can use this for good," he said. "What we're looking for, hopefully, is to use it as a tool to educate farmers about what can happen."

Bradley hesitated to blame growers entirely, saying that Monsanto has made Roundup Ready crops too good to resist, tempting farmers to plant them year after year. But farmers need to avoid being short-sighted, he said.

Monsanto's Glick said: "At the end of the day, the grower is going to make the decision that he thinks is best for his particular operation. And all we can do is provide him with the information to make the best decision."

*Roundup Ready Web sites*

Agricultural companies are stepping up efforts to educate farmers about the proper use of Roundup Ready crops, which are genetically modified to resist glyphosate herbicide. If the crops are irresponsibly planted, weeds that also are resistant can appear, reducing the value of the system.

What's killing our fish?

*Experts fear a 'perfect storm' of factors*

Tuesday, October 11, 2005

*Of Our Washington Bureau*

http://www.pennlive.com/news/patriotnews/index.ssf?/base/news/1129022557316680.xml

WASHINGTON - The thousands of smallmouth bass that died this summer in central Pennsylvania rivers might be part of a broader national problem that's being spurred by pollution, climate change and even hormones such as birth control pills taken by humans.

Researchers, environmentalists, and fish and wildlife experts worry that these environmental effects are creating a "perfect storm" that is beginning to cripple aquatic ecosystems and could be a warning of looming problems for all species.

"We started covering this because scientists working on specific fish kills kept referring to a strange new problem sweeping the country," said Jay Gourley, the vice president of the nonprofit Public Education Center, which tracks environmental issues and is calling attention to the spreading problem.

The group has documented cases from California to New York that are similar to the one that left thousands of bass floating in the Susquehanna River in July.

"They were frantic to explain how various harmful factors, not necessarily catastrophic by themselves, were combining into one perfect storm after another and wiping out aquatic ecosystems at a frightening pace," Gourley said.

Low water flows, higher water temperatures, low oxygen levels in the water and lesions on thousands of smallmouth bass contributed to the fish kill in the Susquehanna and Juniata rivers from Sunbury to south of Harrisburg. But fish and environmental experts said they appear to be only part of the cause of July's kill.

"I think a lot of our river systems are seeing multiple stresses that are affecting fish species," said Betsy Otto, a senior director of river advocacy for American Rivers, which named the Susquehanna the nation's most endangered river this year.

"This is becoming a more widespread problem, and it's likely to become worse," she said.

"At this point, there's not any science to say we know what caused this," said Paul O. Swartz, the executive director of the Susquehanna River Basin Commission. "It's really circumstantial evidence, and it's really tough to understand."

* Combination of stressors:*

The river commission is assisting the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and other agencies investigating large and unexplained fish kills in the lower Susquehanna and at least 20 other bodies of water.

Low water levels contributed to warmer water temperatures, and a lack of grasses on the river bottom meant less oxygen was being produced. The warmer temperatures led to higher levels of bacteria, including columnaris, a common bacterium that usually does not affect fish.

Those factors alone likely did not cause the fish kill but probably weakened their ability to fight the bacteria.

"The fish were stressed and immunosuppressed, and they would probably be susceptible to a variety of opportunistic pathogens," said Vicki Blazer, a fish pathologist for the U.S. Geological Survey who has been investigating unexplained and large fish kills on the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers.

"You're dealing with a multitude of things that are not, in and of themselves, enough to cause death, but they push animals beyond their physiological limits," USGS immunologist Chris Ottinger said in a statement.

Many fish are dying from diseases that are not normally fatal, said Ottinger, who is studying an epidemic of fish tuberculosis downstream from the Susquehanna in the Chesapeake Bay.

* 'A scary decline':*

Studying similar fish kills in the Shenandoah and Potomac, Blazer found microscopic evidence of intersex, the exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals that lead male fish to grow eggs.

She said the change demonstrates the impact of slow exposure to estrogenic compounds found in agricultural runoff and human waste downstream from sewage treatment plants.

Most water and environmental testing monitors exposure to cancer-causing PCBs, mercury and similar chemicals.

European countries have been studying the impact of synthetic hormones frequently used by humans for hormone-replacement treatment or birth control and then excreted. Researchers in the United States are just beginning to investigate their effects.

"These particular type of chemicals work at such low levels," Blazer said.

Dan Tredinnick, a spokesman for the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, said researchers are plowing through mounds of data without answers.

"There isn't any one single piece of data or one single thing that leaps out," he said, adding, "We have been in contact with fellow state agencies trying to pick their brains."

The only completed research is an analysis of smallmouth bass birth rates during the past 18 years that shows many young fish last spring.

Large numbers of "young of the year" might be a good indicator of the species' future health, though several area anglers said the number of fish caught has dropped sharply during the past 20 years.

"The overall population of most of the fish are way down," said Bob Clouser of Middletown, a fisherman and river guide.

Clouser used to be able to take two experienced anglers out for a day on the Susquehanna and expect to catch about 50 fish each. Now they're lucky to catch eight.

"It's a scary decline," he said, adding that he's watched as water snakes, bull frogs and then other species have disappeared. "I don't know what it's all related to, but I assume it's some sort of pollution."

Clouser is sure of one thing: that the Susquehanna's waters have grown heavier and darker than when he started fishing on its banks.

*FISH KILLS*

Recent large fish kills that fit the "perfect storm" pattern. Source: The Public Education Center

# JULY, Susquehanna and Juniata rivers: Many smallmouth bass, from Sunbury to south of Harrisburg, died in a kill attributed to an outbreak of a bacterial infection, columnaris. The cause of the outbreak is unknown.

# 2005, Chesapeake Bay: As many as 70 percent of bay rockfish are infected with mycobacteriosis, or "fish tuberculosis." The number has risen from
11 percent in 1997. Many scientists attribute the increase to a "perfect storm" of poor nutrition, excess nitrogen, warm temperatures and low oxygen.

# 2005, Shenandoah River, south fork and main, Va.: An estimated 80 percent of smallmouth bass died, and bacterial lesions were classified as a "secondary" effect caused by an unknown stressor.

# 1999-2005, Long Island Sound, N.Y.: In the past three years, about 95 percent of the basin's lobster stock has died. Lobsters in the eastern sound have been suffering from "shell disease," a bacterial infection that has greatly increased in recent years. Scientists say a "perfect storm" that caused a population crash in 1999 has not abated.

Bush's faith-based nominee

Boston Globe
by Cathy Young

10/10/05

The nomination of White House counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court ignited an unexpected controversy, mainly among Bush supporters. The debate has not focused on Miers's ideology, since no one seems to know much about it. But if Bush's choice for the high court seems lackluster, the political reaction to it has been far more interesting. The outcry has focused in large part on Miers's qualifications, or lack thereof. She has never held a federal judgeship and has spent most of her career in the private sector (though one could argue that this may bring diversity to the court). Her few writings show little if any intellectual flair. But the storm on the right has another subtext. Miers is suspected of being too moderate...

The Able Danger hearing that was not

News With Views
by Dennis L. Cuddy, Ph.D.

10/10/05

The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on September 21, 2005 held a public hearing on the Department of Defense classified Project Able Danger, which was designed, before the attacks of 9-11, to identify members of Al Qaeda around the world. Shortly after this hearing, I wrote that the next hearing was scheduled for October 5. However, this second hearing was cancelled, as the Committee went on to other business. I called the Committee and asked when the next hearing would be rescheduled, but was told they had no idea. This strikes me as reminiscent of the month before 9-11, when the August 6, 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing indicated Osama bin Laden was 'determined to attack in the U.S.,' yet nothing was done to prevent the attacks...

Frustrations and fissures

Conservatives who have for years contributed time, money, and sweat to help elect Republicans have often been justifiably outraged at how Republicans have then let them down, wimped out, or even openly betrayed the promises on which they were elected. Much of that frustration and anger is now directed at President Bush for nominating White House Counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court. Why not someone like Judge Janice Rogers Brown or any of a number of other identifiable judges with a proven history of upholding conservative judicial principles under fire? ... The past is undeniable, but also is not predestination. This administration needs to be responsible for its shortcomings, not those of previous Republican administrations...

The fight for free speech at Union Square

by Alan Wallis

10/10/05

Joshua Frank, who published 'NYPD Unplugs Cindy Sheehan' on CounterPunch should be commended for focusing on the question of free speech in Union Square, but his assessment of the political environment in this important battleground is way off. Those to whom he dismissively refers as 'wannabe Abbie Hoffmans' are in fact a wide range of different types of dissenters. ... Also contrary to Frank's observation, these activists do indeed face almost constant police harassment. Their megaphones are confiscated so frequently that they have to buy them in bulk, and they face arrest, fines, trumped-up legal charges, and heavy sentences of unpaid 'community service.' They defy repressive city ordinances banning the use of signs larger than 2 feet by 3 feet without a permit, banning the use of amplification without a permit and, on good days, they also end up defying the ban on public gatherings of more than 24 people without a permit...

The dilemma of religion

Frontiers of Freedom
by Jan Larson

10/10/05

The nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court, the on-going acts of terrorism by Muslim extremists and the debate over the teaching of 'intelligent design' in public schools are just three current issues that have a religious component. Religion is, at its heart, a personal matter. One's faith is largely learned and not independently determined. If a person's parents are raised Catholic, Hindu or Buddhist, then it is extremely likely that he or she will hold similar beliefs. This in itself, from a purely academic viewpoint, calls into question the validity of any particular religious faith. Without the constant questioning of one's faith, religion is little more than indoctrination...

WILL VODAFONE BE THE FIRST OF THE MOBILE PHONE INDUSTRY TO TAKE A RESPONSIBLE STANCE ON SITING OF MOBILE PHONE MASTS?

PRESS RELEASE

Eileen O'Connor well known campaigner for the responsible siting of mobile phone masts and a trustee of RRT (Radiation Research Trust) is meeting at Westminster on Wednesday 12th October with a team of representatives from VODAFONE including Dr Rob Matthews at a closed meeting. They will discuss the recent news that people suffering from Electrosensitivity caused by EMF's from mobile phone masts is now being generally accepted. Attendees at this meeting include Andrew Mitchell MP for Sutton Coldfield, Eileen who will be representing a lady who is suffering extreme electrosensitive symptoms, and fellow trustees of RRT. Two members of the Scientific and Technology Committee will also be attending, Dr Ian Gibson MP and Mr Phil Willis MP.

VODAFONE have also agreed to a closed meeting to be held on Friday 14th October at The Belfry Hotel, Sutton Coldfield from 10.00.am. to 12.00.a.m. between 6 stakeholders including residents of Eachelhurst Road, Walmley, Sutton Coldfield, and Vodafone representatives again including Dr Rob Matthews, and a representative from Birmingham City Council Planning Department. This meeting is in response to over 200 objections to a planning application from Vodafone for a mast to be sited close to residential homes and a nature reserve, in spite of the fact that Birmingham City Council turned down a similar application three years ago by another company. Feelings were running so high regarding this application that an action group was formed called EMAG (Eachelhurst Mast Action Group), and a plan of action was formed. This has resulted in VODAFONE agreeing to the closed meeting. It is hoped Vodafone will reconsider the site after reviewing all evidence EMAG will present. Eileen O'Connor has kindly agreed to attend this meeting and will be presenting evidence of her own.

IT IS APPRECIATED THAT VODAFONE ARE AT LEAST LISTENING TO US AND ARE PREPARED TO HAVE A DIALOGUE. CAMPAIGNERS HAVE MADE GREAT STRIDES IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS, SCIENTISTS ARE DISCOVERING MORE EVIDENCE OF HEALTH EFFECTS ACROSS THE WORLD, AND PEOPLE EVERYWHERE ARE NO LONGER PREPARED TO LIVE WITH AN UNACCEPTABLE KNOWN RISK TO THEIR HEALTH.

A Petition in Opposition to the USA Patriot Act

We the undersigned, in solidarity with the governments of Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, Montana, and Vermont, and those of more than 386 villages, towns, and county legislatures across the nation, call upon Congress to immediately repeal or to extensively revise Public Law 107-56, also known as the "U.S.A. Patriot Act", in order to restore and protect our nation's fundamental civil liberties as guaranteed by the Constitution of The United States of America. Each of the above mentioned governments have passed official Resolutions objecting to various provisions of the Patriot Act (See: http://www.bordc.org ). We call upon Congress to recognize the objections of these local and state governments by entering the full text of each Resolution into the Congressional Record. We ask Congress to refrain from enacting laws which may deny due process to any person, which infringe upon our civil liberties, or which expand the powers of the executive branch without providing for judicial oversight and periodic legislative review.

In particular, we object to provisions of the Act and to others laws and executive orders which allow for:

* Racial or ethnic profiling, secret detentions, and the "rendition" of persons to foreign countries,

* Investigation, surveillance, or monitoring of individuals or groups, such as gun owners, religious groups, or political activists, based on their participation in activities protected by the First or Second Amendments, without reasonable suspicion of criminal activity,

* The indefinite incarceration of any person based on immigration status or on mere suspicion of terrorist activity,

* "Sneak and Peek" searches pursuant to Section 213 of the Act, and others laws which subvert the protections guaranteed by Amendments IV and V of the Constitution,

* And all sections of the Act affecting libraries, research facilities, and educational institutions and their records.

We applaud the American Library Association’s efforts to educate citizens on this important issue, and the efforts of faculty and student organizations at more than 44 campuses who have worked toward the repeal or revision of the Act.

(see: http://www.ala.org/ala/oif/ifissues/usapatriotact.htm )

(see:
http://www.bordc.org/involved/student/campus-resolutions.php ).

We ask all citizens and the signatories of this Petition to urge elected officials in their own towns and cities to work toward the goals outlined above.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

We Can’t Let "It" Happen Here

What is beyond the looking glass?

Over a year ago, the comfort of my world severely diminished as I took my journey through the looking glass and discerned the ugly truths about the nation of my birth, the United States of America. “Logic and proportion” certainly seemed to have “fallen softly dead” when I discovered that much of what I had learned about my country as a child had been a lie.

They Can't Fool Us Anymore

Reaping the Harvest

By Rep. CYNTHIA McKINNEY

Remarks at the Anti-war Rally, Washington, DC, September 24, 2005

If we didn't know it before, we certainly know it now.

A cruel wind blows across America. Starting in Texas and Montana, and sweeping across America's heartland, it's settled here in Washington, DC. And despite our presence today, it continues to buffet and batter the American people.

This cruel wind blew disenfranchisement into Florida and Ohio.

It blew hardheartedness into the Capitol.

Division across our land. And wretchedness in high places.

The American people have been forced to endure fraud in the elections of 2000 and 2004, criminal neglect on September 11th, a war started on deliberately-faked evidence, the outing of a CIA agent to cover up the truth, and now criminal incompetence in providing our security.

When hurricane survivors had lost everything, and it was there for all America to see, sybaritic men, wrapped in self-righteousness, worked to save their jobs instead of the people.

As dead bodies lay strewn about the New Orleans Superdome, military recruiters blew into Houston's Astrodome to reap the harvest.

This ill wind that engulfs our country is also global in its impact.

It dipped into the Caribbean hitting Haiti and Cuba; it reached into Latin America to slap Venezuela; it swept death, greed, and destruction across Africa into Eastern Congo; and it breathes occupation onto the peoples of Iraq and Palestine.

But just as sure as an ill wind now blows, it doesn't always have to be so.

The people, united, can stop wars.

We can stop injustice; and we can stop indifference.

The people, united, can tear down the mightiest walls of oppression.

These ill winds have brought us high crimes and more than misdemeanors.

But they've also brought us together: one answer, united for peace and for justice.

Let's stay together. Because we have to get rid of these ill winds and breathe fresh breath into a new jet stream of life.

We can do it, ya'll, because they can't fool us anymore.

Request from Shantidhara - India

I have requested the help for our children hostel project. The hostel project http://www.shantidhara.org/edu_hostel.htm is growing year by year with the generosity of the friends and agencies like you (the hostel initiated with 9 children previous year, extended with another new five poor children this year and another 10 new children will be going join with these 14 children from next June). Many positive responses receiving for our appeal for more child sponsorships.

Though the project implementation is going with a full tuning, there are also problems we are experiencing.

1. We had bitter experiences previous academic year with the schools where our children were studying (the school management sold off the school to another management forced all the children to search for other school, ultimately our children admitted in three different schools) and the school managements are always exploiting the children for money in the name of fees etc.

2. The hostel building is rented, facing problems from house owners with many restrictions and major portion of the sponsored money is going towards payment of monthly rental charges.

All these problems made us to think out for something concrete...providing all the facilities under one umbrella by establishing an educational institution, dormitory and playground for the children.

To realize the above, the most basic requirement is "Land" for the construction of buildings for school and hostel and also for play ground.

Recently I got a contact with various funding agencies who are willing to assist us for the construction of school and hostel buildings. But they all suggested acquiring the required land on our own (here people can not donate the land as majority of them have a tiny piece of lands with more dependents) and hence I am contacting the people and friends like you.

Hence I am requested your help for acquiring the land.

Prescott to rule on phone mast plan

Monday 10 October 2005

Bolton evening news

A BATTLE over a mobile phone mast erected on land protected by a historic covenant is to be resolved once and for all.

Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott is to consider an appeal by the telecommunications firm Hutchinson 3G after Bolton Council ordered them to remove the mast erected earlier this year at Holland's Nurseries in Darwen Road, Bromley Cross.

The covenant stated that nothing should be built on the land - and that it should be used only for agricultural purposes.

Councillors had rejected the application on planning grounds, but that decision was later overturned on appeal by a government inspector.

Bolton Council then ordered the mast to be taken down after deciding that the terms of a covenant should remain in place.

Hutchinson 3G - which is the parent company of 3 Mobile - has now taken its fight to the highest planning authority possible - the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

Cllr Alan Wilkinson, a Conservative councillor for Bromley Cross, said the removal of the covenant would open the floodgates to the development of the land.

He added: "This covenant was put in place to protect this land and it is important that people stand by it."

Mr Prescott will look at the representations before deciding whether to allow the appeal to take place. Interested parties have until Friday, October 21, to make their views known.

Residents won a victory in the 1980s when a High Court judge ruled that the covenant - made by the land's former owners, the Ashworth brothers, in 1934 - should be upheld.

Although it had been broken when housing developer Barratts built on 35 acres of land, the judge decided it was too late to stop that development.

Since then residents have opposed a number of plans on the site, including Bromley Cross Football Club's scheme to have 10 football pitches on the land for its junior teams.

Under that plan -- which has yet to be considered by planning chiefs - also includes a new building for the nursery and changing rooms, a cafe and 185 parking spaces.

A spokesman for Hutchison 3G said: "Our licence to operate carries the obligation to provide coverage and maintain an emergency service coverage.

"The telegraph pole-type installation blends in with existing telegraph poles and other structures that are established on the land in question."

One World Democracy

Well, I took Rob Davis's advice and attended the book signing of 'One World Democracy' last Friday night here in Asheville. One of the authors, Byron Belitsos gave a great talk and I got a copy for myself. The other author, Jerry Tetalman was not present.

I was thrilled to meet Rob and his very lovely wife there, as well as some very lovely friends of theirs.

So far, I have only read the Preface of the book and I'm so impressed with it that I'm going to write it here to give you all a taste of it, as you might want to order a copy for yourselves. It's a little long, but not too. Here goes, enjoy! Your Friend, Debralee

One World Democracy--Preface

"We have it in our power to begin the world over again."

---Thomas Paine---Common Sense 1776

This book is an introduction to the greatest political transformation in history--the democratic revolution to create enforceable global law.

This epochal change in human affairs will put an end, once and for all, to the war system that is the greatest scourge facing mankind.

In this revolution, ordinary people will take control of this planet from those who foment war and profit from war, and who permit environmental destruction.

This will be a movement of optimists and visionaries, those who are ready to seize the opportunity to reinvent our world, ready to leave behind the cynics whose only contribution is to maintain the status quo.

In this movement, world peace is not a vague and utopian goal--but a practical, enduring peace that is acheived through world laws that are passed by democratic world legislature, interpreted by world courts, and enforced by a global government that represents all of humanity, high and low, north and south, black and white.

We truly can create "the parliment of the world, the government of mankind" as the English poet Tennyson prophetically envisioned in the nineteenth century. The time for this historic task is upon us, now in the tweny-first century.

This global peace and justice movement is already well under way. Worldwide demostrations like the historic "global day of protest" against the US invasion of Iraq on Febuary 15, 2003 are just one sign.

Yet something more than rejectionism is needed from our progressive leaders. These times require a positive and practicle vision for how to solve international conflicts; how to relieve global poverty; and how to end the physical destruction of our preciuos planet.

We therefore ask you to imagine a world peace movement focused on making the United Nations, or some successor, into a truly representative government for all humanity.

Imagine a global legislature or world parliment whose first order of business is the abolition of war.

Envision a world court whose routine work is to apply global law to individuals, rather than punishing entire nations for the crimes of their leaders.

Visualize a planetary bill of rights that is zealously guarded, and a constitutional balance of power that prevents excesses by any branch of the world government.

Reflect on the satisfaction of living peacefully under the rule of global law where there is -less- government, -lower- taxes, -better- distribution of resorces, -no- nuclear weapons, -open- borders, - less- environmental destruction, -no- imperial domination, -no- military-industrial complex, -more- security, -more- justice for labor and minorities--and a global renaissance in the arts, science, religion, and culture.

And imagine yourself a part of this, the greatest political movement ever to occur.

We the people of planet earth are the sovereigns of our destiny; if we stand together, we can build a just and democratic government of humankind that will abolish war forever, and work together with all nations to solve the other pressing problems facing our fragile planet. It really can be that simple--and that exhilarating.

This book is directed especially at progessives and visionary leaders in all walks of life who care deeply about global justice, reduction of poverty worldwide, and the protection of the planet's environment--but especially those who are working for world peace.

In our view, today's world peace movement is too often marked by a naive utopianism that confuses human nature with angelic nature. Angels can live in peace without law and government--but humans cannot. In our all-too-human world, peace without justice is an illusion--an uneasy truce until the next war comes along, such as the intractable Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Global justice, we argue, is simply not achievable without the establishment of law by an elected legislature in combination with judicial institutions that interpret and apply the law. And courts of law are almost useless without enforcement mechanisms-- the notorios impotence of the UN being a case in point. Those who aspire for world peace really have no choice but to work for the achievement of enforcable global law.

"There is no peace without justice, no justice without law, and no law without government"--according to the formula of the United World Federalists of the late 1940's. The decades since then have only affirmed the truth of this old activist slogan. A great day is coming when the world's peace movement and social justice progressives will once again embrace this crucial syllogism; and that is the day when we will become empowered to end war and ecocide. Only then will there be an end to the military dominance of America and a genuine solution to terrorism. Only then can we really tackle the dauntiing problems of global pollution and grinding poverty.

Let us use the twenty-first century to create the end of war--not the end of humankind. To abolish war we will need enforceable global law-- the expansion of civilization to a planetary scale. This book invites you on a lifelong journey to the achievement of plantary peace and prosperity. Let's get there by working to build one world democracy.

Nuisance Animals Killed in U.S.Program

The following is the forwarding message. I feel horrible seeing this.

As many of you may already know, the USDA has a viscious animal-hating division, "wildlife services" and, fortunately, the New York Times recently ran a quick blurb on how this department, Orwellian-named "Wildlife Services" is killing MILLIONS of animals. I'm attaching the article, but -- dave (and friends) - is there any way you can post the contact information where people who see your web page can call the USDA and protest? September 11, 2005 'Nuisance' Animals Killed in U.S. Program
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS WASHINGTON, Sept. 10

(AP) - The government killed more than 2.7 million "nuisance" animals last year, including starlings, black bears, coyotes and wolves, mainly because they threatened livestock or crops.

The number of deaths, one million more than in 2003, drew criticism.

"Wildlife Services killed more than five animals per minute in 2004," said Wendy Keefover-Ring, a spokeswoman for Sinapu, a Colorado advocacy group for predators.

The program is the responsibility of Wildlife Services, an Agriculture Department program. "Lethal means is something that we do as a final resort," said a Wildlife Services spokesman, Dan Perry.

Mr. Perry said the department helped landowners and others take measures to keep creatures out.

The neurological department is completely exloding with people

I don't know how it is in the Netherlands or other countries, but I do know that at least in one of Haifa's hospitals, people with neurological problems are sent to other departments because the neurological department is completely exloding with people complaints on symptoms, this has never been in the past, as I was told by one of the nurses.

In one hospital in Tel Aviv there are 4 floors of parking lot only for people going to chemotherapy, and oncologists informed to the public through newspapers (two months ago) that if there wouldn't be additional radiations equipments in hospitals soon, then they would have to send people abroad to do the radiations.

Iris Atzmon.

--------

This sounds a really good development. The information circulated in terms of a cloud with very different signal structures is a very sound reminder that it isn't just the amount that matters, and that it is different from all the other sources. We are constantly told that mobile phone masts can't be bad because so much other radiation is TV, radio, taxis etc. (Operators here delight in taking measurements and showing phones as a few spikes in a very wide spectrum.)

More important is the reminder on responsibility. I still press the argument on "the ethics of doubt": in so many other matters, even slight doubts with such potential consequences drive greater response. But now I gather in the UK the argument is "cost per life", a principle governing the WHO "precautionary approach". It's all OK so long as not too many people die as a result.

And who decides the price of life, the acceptable number? Today our Parliament debated the issue of assisted suicide for people dying in the greatest distress and pain. One of our leading bishops argues forcefully that no life can be taken in any circumstance, and that even the person themselves cannot decide on life. Yet here we have church steeples with masts and antennae transmitting this slow killer, and it is OK so long as too many people do not die.

Yes, an international European group with the same message, the senior scientists with their collective doubts, and real pressure on ethics and responsibility. Maybe more as-yet uninformed people would respond to the force of a European movement. Maybe economies of scale would enable our resources to achieve more.

You used to be able to count on 'up' being 'down,' 'black' being 'white,' 'yes' meaning 'no' and of course, their opposites, but not any more. I have to be amazed at the condemnation of the way all levels of government had responded in the aftermath of the breaching of the government-made levees in New Orleans. ... I think we have recently been witness to not one, but two terrific examples of government disaster response working perfectly -- exactly as designed. In the 9-11 instance we have found out that inter-agency turf wars and petty squabbles kept fairly precise information forewarning the devilish deed from moving into the hands of anyone who would investigate further and/or act upon it. ... In New Orleans, we find that sheer stupidity combined with corruption and complacency led to the disastrous consequences that filled the news hour, until the propaganda media used the onslaught of Rita to wipe New Orleans right off the front page and into the recesses of the public's collectivist mind...

Bush's risky flu pandemic plan

Boston Globe
by George J. Annas

10/08/05

Whenever the world is not to his liking, President Bush has a tendency to turn to the military to make it better. The most prominent example is the country's response to 9/11, complete with wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. After Hurricane Katrina, Bush belatedly called on the military to assist in securing New Orleans, and has since suggested that Congress should consider empowering the military to be the 'first responders' in any national disaster. On Tuesday, the president suggested that the United States should confront the risk of a bird flu pandemic by giving him the power to use the US military to quarantine 'part[s] of the country' experiencing an 'outbreak.' So we have moved quickly in the past month, at least metaphorically, from the global war on terror to a proposed war on hurricanes, to a proposed war on the bird flu. Of all these proposals, the use of the military to attempt to contain a flu pandemic on US soil is the most dangerous...

Who's really to blame

Liberty Unbound
by R.W. Bradford

[W]hat's most interesting about this whole sorry mess is the reaction of the American people. Virtually nobody put any blame on the government for the flooding, even though damage would have been almost trivial if government had acted in anything like a prudent fashion during the century prior to the flood. Instead, people -- especially media and politicians -- blamed the government for failing to respond quickly enough and with enough money. On one level, this makes a certain amount of sense: after all, government did fail to provide any meaningful help, and even retarded private efforts. A hurricane is no longer perceived as an 'act of God.' It is now seen as an act of government. But think about it for a minute: why on earth should you expect the perpetrator of such a disaster to provide timely and meaningful relief? (for publication 11/05)

For the first time in his presidency, George W. Bush faces a widespread conservative revolt. Nothing he has done before -- not McCain-Feingold, not steel tariffs, not his failure to veto excessive spending, not even last year’s proposed amnesty for illegal immigrants -- has provoked as hostile a reaction on the right as the nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court. ... Yet if Bush is becoming a lame duck, it signals an opportunity rather than an ending for conservatives. Bringing the war home

In the 1960s, during the Vietnam era, the radicals of Students for a Democratic Society vowed to 'bring the war home.' It was meant as a threat: that they would visit the same destruction on the U.S. that American troops were visiting on Vietnam. In the present age, however, it is George W. Bush and war supporters in both parties who have brought the Iraq war home -- as evidenced by the recent terrorist threat to New York City. According to the local authorities, the plot involves 15 to 20 suicide bombers carrying backpacks or pushing baby carriages on New York City subway lines. A memo just now being made public says remote-controlled or timed explosive devices are involved. Three people have already been arrested -- not in the U.S., but in Iraq...

Last of the intrepid Americans

Free Market News Network
by Nelson Hultberg

10/10/05

Tom Brokaw's mega best seller, The Greatest Generation, struck a powerful chord throughout our nation. The reason why is because we as Americans today sense that we have lost something very profound, something elemental and essential that shaped the grit of our forefathers in earlier times, something that we have let slip away through indolence and intellectual treason to the Founders' vision for our country. Our instincts are quite correct. What we have lost, and what the early generations of the 20th century possessed, is that heroic sense of life born of a golden age forged from 19th century values that were handed down from stoic parents to stalwart sons and daughters throughout the 20's and 30's. What the members of the World War II generation possessed was that steel-willed belief in America as earth's Eldorado with a divine destiny. This is something that today's country club conservatives and Brat Pack liberals know absolutely nothing about...

The Libertarian Enterprise
by L. Neil Smith

10/09/05

At this writing, the 2008 election is only 25 months away. America is getting ready again to play the deadliest game of Ping-Pong in the universe. This horrifying process was first described to me (although I'd noticed it myself already) by libertarian lecturer/philosopher Robert LeFevre. Every time we elect somebody new, Bob explained -- usually because we're fed up with the Old Regime screwing up our lives and finding ways to limit our freedom -- the New Regime soon finds ways of its own (because it had them in mind all along) to do exactly the same stuff. At the same time, it never undoes whatever its predecessor did to us...

Bad Zwesten.

(CLM)

Row threat over plan for mast on church

A ROW could break out between a church and its primary school over plans to erect a mobile phone mast on top of the church tower.

Fund-raisers fighting to save the crumbling tower at St Thomas Parish Church in St Annes thought their prayers had been answered when a bid by mobile giant Orange was recommended to be approved.

But Ted Dempsey, acting headteacher at St Thomas Primary School, today voiced concerns over health fears surrounding the masts. He said: "Obviously our main concern and interest is for the health and safety of the children. We are currently taking advice on any issues that this could present for us or if it could harm our pupils. "The problem has been discussed at a meeting of the school governors and it was decided we needed to seek guidance on the matter.

"We are a church school and of course we want to support the church. However, we have to first consider the health and safety of pupils."

Health groups have raised concerns about the safety of mobile masts in recent years but there has been no firm evidence to prove the transmitters are dangerous.

St Thomas Parish Church, which was built more than 100 years ago, has battled for eight years to find a way of keeping the tower after stonework became eroded and unsafe and the tower had to close. Last year, the fund-raisers thought they had hit a dead end after being turned down for a Heritage Lottery Grant and applied to demolish the tower.

But the plan was met with concern from residents and the demolition plans were rejected by Fylde Council, which wanted the landmark preserved.

Earlier this year, a company representing mobile telephone giant Orange approached the church with the offer of placing a mast on top of the tower – effectively paying for the £260,000 cost of the upgrade work through an upfront fee and an annual rent.

The Rev Peter Law-Jones, the vicar at St Thomas, said: "I understand people have concerns, but I hope people understand we are acting in good faith for the good of the church and the community.

"We have taken our own advice and have been told that because of the height of the church tower the impact would be non-existent. "This will hopefully secure the future of the church, which, if it were to close, would be a massive loss to the community."

Microwave Cooking is Killing You

By Stephanie Relfe B.Sc. (Syd.)

Microwave cooking is one of the most important causes of ill health. It is certainly one of the most ignored.

There was a lawsuit in 1991 in Oklahoma. A woman named Norma Levitt had hip surgery, but was killed by a simple blood transfusion when a nurse "warmed the blood for the transfusion in a microwave oven!"

Logic suggests that if heating is all there is to microwave cooking, then it doesn't matter how something is heated. Blood for transfusions is routinely warmed, but not in microwave ovens. Does it not therefore follow that microwaving cooking does something quite different?

A little evidence of the harm caused by microwaving cooking was given by the University of Minnesota in a radio announcement:

"Microwaves ... are not recommended for heating a baby's bottle. The bottle may seem cool to the touch, but the liquid inside may become extremely hot and could burn the baby's mouth and throat... Heating the bottle in a microwave can cause slight changes in the milk. In infant formulas, there may be a loss of some vitamins. In expressed breast milk, some protective properties may be destroyed.... Warming a bottle by holding it under tap water or by setting it in a bowl of warm water, then testing it on your wrist before feeding, may take a few minutes longer, but it is much safer".

There have been very few scientific studies done on the effect of eating food microwaved food. This is rather surprising when you think about the fact that microwaves have been with us for only a few decades - and that in that time the incidence of many diseases has continued to increase.

Two researchers, Blanc and Hertel, confirmed that microwave cooking significantly changes food nutrients. Hertel previously worked as a food scientist for several years with one of the major Swiss food companies. He was fired from his job for questioning procedures in processing food because they denatured it. He got together with Blanc of the Swiss Federal Institute of Biochemistry and the University Institute for Biochemistry.

They studied the effect that microwaved food had on eight individuals, by taking blood samples immediately after eating. They found that after eating microwaved food, haemoglobin levels decreased. "These results show anaemic tendencies. The situation became even more pronounced during the second month of the study".

Who knows what results they would have found if they had studied people who ate microwaved food for a year or more?

The violent change that microwaving causes to the food molecules forms new life forms called radiolytic compounds. These are mutations that are unknown in the natural world. Ordinary cooking also causes the formation of some radiolytic compounds (which is no doubt one reason why it is better to eat plenty of raw food), but microwaving cooking causes a much greater number. This then causes deterioration in your blood and immune system.

In addition, they found that the number of leucocytes increases after eating microwaved food - something which haematologists take very seriously, because this is often a sign of highly harmful effects, such as poisoning.

Also, after eating microwaved food, cholesterol levels increased. Hertel said "Common scientific belief states that cholesterol values usually alter slowly over longer periods of time. In this study, the markers increased rapidly after the consumption of the microwaved vegetables." He believes his study tends to confirm new scientific data that suggest cholesterol may rapidly increase in the blood secondary to acute stress. "Also," he added, "blood cholesterol levels are less influenced by cholesterol content of food than by stress factors. Such stress-causing factors can apparently consist of foods which contain virtually no cholesterol - the microwaved vegetables."

The results were published in "Search for Health" in the Spring of 1992. How was this research greeted? A powerful trade organisation, the Swiss Association of Dealers for Electroapparatuses for Households and Industry somehow made the President of the Court of Seftigen issue a `gag order'. Hertel and Blanc were told that if they published their findings they would face hefty fines or up to one year in prison. In response to this, Blanc recanted his findings. Hertel, on the other hand, went on a lecture tour and demanded a jury trial.

FINALLY, in 1998 the Court `Gag Order' was removed. In a judgment delivered at Strasbourg on 25 August 1998 in the case of Hertel v. Switzerland, the European Court of Human Rights held that there had been a violation of Hertel's rights in the 1993 decision. The Court decided that the `gag order' prohibiting him form declaring that microwaved food is dangerous to health was contrary to the right to freedom of expression. In addition, Switzerland was sentenced to pay compensation of F40,000.

In Summary: Blanc and Hertel found that eating microwaved food:

* Increases cholesterol
* Increases white blood cell numbers
* Decreases red blood cell numbers
* Causes production of radiolytic compounds (compounds unknown in nature)

RUSSIANS BAN MICROWAVE OVENS

After the World War II, the Russians also experimented with microwave ovens. From 1957 up to recently, their research has been carried out mainly at the Institute of Radio Technology at Klinsk, Byelorussia. According to US researcher William Kopp, who gathered much of the results of Russian and German research - and was apparently prosecuted for doing so (J. Nat. Sci, 1998; 1:42-3) - the following effects were observed by Russian forensic teams:

1. Heating prepared meats in a microwave sufficiently for human consumption created:

* d-Nitrosodiethanolamine (a well-known cancer-causing agent)
* Destabilization of active protein biomolecular compounds
* Creation of a binding effect to radioactivity in the atmosphere
* Creation of cancer-causing agents within protein-hydrosylate compounds in milk and cereal grains;

2. Microwave emissions also caused alteration in the catabolic
(breakdown) behavior of glucoside - and galactoside - elements within frozen fruits when thawed in this way;

3. Microwaves altered catabolic behavior of plant-alkaloids when raw, cooked or frozen vegetables were exposed for even very short periods;

4. Cancer-causing free radicals were formed within certain trace-mineral molecular formations in plant substances, especially in raw root vegetables;

5. Ingestion of micro-waved foods caused a higher percentage of cancerous cells in blood;

6. Due to chemical alterations within food substances, malfunctions occurred in the lymphatic system, causing degeneration of the immune system=s capacity to protect itself against cancerous growth;

7. The unstable catabolism of micro-waved foods altered their elemental food substances, leading to disorders in the digestive system;

8. Those ingesting micro-waved foods showed a statistically higher incidence of stomach and intestinal cancers, plus a general degeneration of peripheral cellular tissues with a gradual breakdown of digestive and excretory system function;

9. Microwave exposure caused significant decreases in the nutritional value of all foods studied, particularly:

* A decrease in the bioavailability of B-complex vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E, essential minerals and lipotrophics

* Destruction of the nutritional value of nucleoproteins in meats

* Lowering of the metabolic activity of alkaloids, glucosides, galactosides and nitrilosides (all basic plant substances in fruits and vegetables)

* Marked acceleration of structural disintegration in all foods.

As a result microwave ovens were banned in Russia in 1976; the ban was lifted after Perestroika.

Standing in front of a microwave is also highly damaging to your health. Perhaps you have already felt this intuitively? We know that cells explode in the microwave - just fry an egg in your microwave. We are made up of trillions of cells. So work out how many are getting damaged if you stand in front of your microwave for 5-10 minutes.

In the past I had been told that it was important for people to stop eating microwaved food, but I did not pay too much attention to this because I had been microwave cooking for years. I never thought much about it but I suppose that I figured that if something was so bad for us, then there wouldn't be so many people using it. Little did I know.

When I first began seeing clients for sessions of kinesiology, I did not worry too much about telling them to give up eating microwaved food. However, I kept a record of all of the corrections that were needed for each client when they came in. Now, once a correction is made, it is to be hoped that the correction will stay in place for a long time to come, hopefully months if not years. People often ask me "How long will it last?" May answer to them is "That depends on your lifestyle".

Most of my clients came back to see me after about two weeks. In the early days I found that many who came back were not much better. I found that they were again `out of balance'. That is, their electrical circuits were not working correctly (which is common for many people). It was therefore not surprising that they were not much better, because the body does not begin to fully fix itself until the electrical circuits are in balance.

The question was, why did their electrical circuits go out of balance? The answer had to be something that was highly stressful, to effect the body in such a short space of time. Once that answer was remedied, the client would begin to get better. Using muscle testing, I went through the process of testing if the cause was electrical, chemical/nutritional, emotional or structural. Again and again the same answer would come up - electrical. When I then went through a range of possible electrical causes, the same answer again came up again and again - the person had eaten microwaved food! Incidentally, this answer never came up when a person had NOT eaten microwaved food.

I began to tell all of my clients on the first visit that under NO circumstances were they ever to do microwaved cooking again. I gave this a higher priority than any of things that are normally considered as health risks, such as cigarettes or alcohol. Immediately I began to get a marked improvement in the results I was getting. Long term problems such as headaches, back aches and emotional instability went away within a few weeks.

Other kinesiologists can confirm these results. David Bridgman, who has years of experience as a kinesiologist, said "Of all the people I test for allergies, 99.9% so far show severe sensitivity to any microwaved food".

I experienced the effect of eating microwaved food for myself one time. I had been doing quite a lot of kinesiology and feeling on top of the world when for no apparent reason I began to feel rather `grey' and rather low. I realised that I needed a balance from a kinesiologist. Sure enough, I was out of balance. When the kinesiologist used muscle testing to see why my body had gone out of balance, the answer came up ... microwaved food! The trouble was, I couldn't remember eating any. Until I remembered a particular vegetarian restaurant I had been to. When I went back to the restaurant and asked them if they microwaved their food, they told me that they did.

So be warned! Many restaurants use microwaved cooking, even `health' restaurants. Ask if the "steamed vegetables" are in fact steamed - or are they microwaved? I have sent meals back when they have not been what they were described on the menu, much to the surprise of the restaurant owners.

MICROWAVED PLASTIC WRAP HAS 10,000,000 TIMES FDA LIMITS OF CARCINOGENS!

From: doug@d-w-m.com

Sent to me by a reader: Hello Folks. Hopefully all of you are already well enough informed so as to avoid the use of a microwave oven due to the many detrimental effects consuming microwaved food has upon our health, but "just in case", here is some interesting info sent to me by Ron Scanlon -- many thanks, Ron! Cheers, Doug

University of California, Davis Medical Center 2315 Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento, California 95817

As a seventh grade student, Claire Nelson learned that di(ethylhexyl)adepate (DEHA), considered a carcinogen, is found in plastic wrap. She also learned that the FDA had never studied the effect of microwave cooking on plastic-wrapped food. Three years later, with encouragement from her high school science teacher, Claire set out to test what the FDA had not.

Although she had an idea for studying the effect of microwave radiation on plastic wrapped food, she did not have the equipment. Eventually, Dr. Jon Wilkes at the National Center for Toxicological Research agreed to help her. The research center, which is affiliated with the FDA, let her use its facilities to perform her experiments, which involved microwaving plastic wrap in virgin olive oil.

Claire tested four different plastic wraps and "found not just the carcinogens but also xenoestrogen was migrating [into the oil]...." Xenoestrogens are linked to low sperm counts in men and to breast cancer in women. Throughout her junior and senior years, Claire made a couple of trips each week to the research center, which was 25 miles from her home, to work on her experiment. An article in Options reported "her analysis found that DEHA was migrating into the oil at between 200 parts and 500 parts per million. The FDA standard is 0.05 parts per billion."

Her summarized results have been published in science journals. Claire Nelson received the American Chemical Society's top science prize for students during her junior year and fourth place at the International Science and Engineering Fair (Fort Worth,Texas) as a senior. When Torture Becomes Policy

By Mike Whitney 09 Oct 2005

"President [sic] Bush has made it clear that he will veto the $435 billion Pentagon appropriations bill because it restricts his ability to abuse prisoners in the war on terror.

The bill, which forbids the 'cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment' of prisoners in US custody, was passed by an overwhelming 90 to 9 majority in the Senate...

This week, former UN chief weapons inspector, Scott Ritter, compared George Bush and Tony Blair to Nazi war criminals saying that, 'Both of these men could be pulled up as war criminals for engaging in actions that we condemned Germany in 1946 for doing.'

Bush's veto removes any doubt about the veracity of Ritter's comments."

Has The Magnetic Pole Reversal Already Begun?

October 10th 2005

EARTH CHANGES TV NEWSLETTER

Part – I Has The Magnetic Pole Reversal Already Begun?South Atlantic Anomaly Could be First Evidence

by Mitch Battros - ECTV

This is Part I of III

In my last two interviews, one with Dr. Peter Olson, Geophysicist from Johns Hopkins University , and Dr. Nicola Scafetta, Applied Physicist from Duke University has sparked my curiosity to apply an additional direction to my published “Equation”.

Still, the Sun is no doubt the origin of all interactive play. (at least in our solar system, but this will be explained in my book “Cosmic Rain” due out late spring.). The Sun is the triggering mechanism for a causal chain reaction to what happens on our home planet. One might say for all planets…in our solar system. What I have been learning lately is what slower acting, but perhaps far more powerful effect the Sun has on the Earth’s core. What we all agree upon (myself and my distinguished guest Dr. Olson and Dr. Scafetta) is the Sun is the primary cause for our climate and weather. It is pronounced and almost instantly in active effects. But what is going on below is far more powerful but disguises in a stealthy slow moving mannerism. The old story of the frog in the slowly heating pot comes to mind.

Although most of our scientific equipment is pointed towards the sky (satellites, telescopes etc,) to measure the Sun’s activity and its effect on our magnetic field, ionosphere, stratosphere, and as of late our “weather” (see equation), not much has been disclosed or known about what lies beneath our feet. So lets take a closer look.

Equation:

Sunspots => Solar Flares => Magnetic Field Shift => Shifting Ocean and Jet Stream Currents => Extreme Weather and Human Disruption

In very much the same way as lightning strikes, so does the Earth’s highly charged core. Did you know when we think we see a lightning bolt hitting Earth; it is actually met with a matching bolt from the ground shooting upward? That’s’ right. A lightning bolt rises from the ground and meets a lightning bolt from the sky up to several hundred feet in the air. With this understanding, and upon Dr. Olson’s studies of the Earth’s core, mantle and crust, I am suggesting the solar flares, CME’s, and various space emitted charged particles, having a similar “reverse charge” in the same manner as lightning bolts. More on this later, but first let’s take a look at what is the “South Atlantic Anomaly”.

South Atlantic Anomaly

Earth is surrounded by a close-to-spherical magnetic field, the magnetosphere. According to what we know today, it is being generated by dynamo action in the Earth's interior where conducting liquid metals are kept in motion by the forces of convection (heat exchange), coriolis, and gravitation, and just as the charged windings in the coil of a dynamo generate a magnetic field when moved, these masses create the Earth's magnetic field. Without it, our compasses wouldn't work, there would be no northern lights (auroras), and it protects us from space radiation by deflecting high energy particles from deep space or by capturing them in the so-called Van Allen Belts. Of these, discovered by the first US satellite, Explorer 1, in 1958, there are two, one closer, the other farther away, and both surround the Earth like a doughnut.

Unfortunately, at a certain location over the South Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Brazil, the shielding effect of the magnetosphere is not quite spherical but shows an unusual distortion, which scientists explain as a result of the eccentric displacement of the center of the magnetic field from the geographical center of the Earth (by 280 miles) as well as the displacement between the magnetic and geographic poles of Earth. This is to say Magnetic North is not consistent with Geographical North. At times this area becomes very unstable and “bounces” kilometers apart. But there is more to this “unpredictable” monolithic anomaly than many in the science community had ever known…until now.

A clear attempt to shut down free speech

AOL Time-Warner Censors Alex Jones Websites Nationwide blackout

http://www.prisonplanet.com/index.html
Prison Planet | October 5 2005

Time Warner's ISP, Road Runner, has blocked access to all of Alex Jones' flagship websites across the entire United States.

We were first alerted to this problem early this morning when several locals in Austin reported that they were unable to access Infowars.com, PrisonPlanet.com or Prison Planet.tv.

Austin Time Warner had previously shut down access to our websites on a whim, claiming they were 'hate material' but in all cases had quickly restored them after receiving complaints.

However, this latest attack on free speech is occurring nationwide, with Time Warner subscribers from New York to California reporting that their access to the websites is being blocked.

The last attempt to shut us down came
http://www.prisonplanet.tv/articles/july2005/220705underattack.htm shortly after the London Bombings, which saw our traffic go through the roof after we released a plethora of articles exposing government involvement.

The consequence of this is that Prison Planet.com alone on some days gets more hits than the Britney Spears website or Rush Limbaugh.

Previously we reported that UK ISPs like
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/infowarsnews/message/452 Tiscali were blocking their subscribers from accessing the website after the 7/7 bombings.

It is obvious that those in high places are showing their disapproval. This only vindicates all the information we have been putting out.

How can a website that merely reports and comments on mainstream media articles be described as 'hate' unless there's a different agenda afoot? How can Bill O'Reilly get on Fox News and call for
http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/october2005/051005edorsedassassinating.htm assassinating Prime Ministers and Pat Robertson on the 700 Club http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=45916 do the same and yet we get censored for being hateful? We have never called for violence against anyone and actively encourage peaceful exchange of information.

This is part of a growing trend of authoritarian censorship of the Internet in preparation for the
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/09/28/internet_end_nigh/ emergence of Internet 2, where only government approved websites will be allowed to exist and the old Internet will be shut down.

Monolithic corporations in lock-step with government are following the http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/october2005/041005shutsdown.htm Chinese model, where any website mildly anti-establishment is immediately shut down and its owners arrested. The vast majority of Internet cafes in China http://www.guardian.co.uk/internetnews/story/0,7369,752802,00.html were shut down in 2002 after the government started a fire in one Beijing cafe and then demanded all the rest be shut down for 'safety reasons'.

Under anti-terrorism laws in Italy, Internet
http://prisonplanet.com/articles/october2005/051005email.htm cafe owners are forced to take photo ID's of all their customers and install key-logging and filter software which blocks any websites the government chooses.

Today's actions by Time Warner fall into the same category. The First Amendment is under siege by jack-booted totalitarians in suits that graciously lick the boots and follow the orders of the establishment lackeys.

In 2002 Dell Computers http://www.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,50723,00.html cancelled an order placed by Weigand Combat Handguns because the company name triggered a security alert. The word 'combat' was not accepted by Dell's post-9/11 security alert system. This is an example of the inane and sweeping nature of these filtrations systems and the blanket idiocy applied to these cases.

We are urging all our readers (not that you will even be able to read this if you subscribe to Time Warner!) to boycott any Time Warner/Road Runner ISP service and cancel your subscription with them. They have proven themselves time and time again to be an anti-American freedom hating tool of the establishment.

We urge you to double your efforts in spreading the truth. Copy and distribute our artcles more than ever. We are under a direct assault, the only response needs to be a massive and powerful counter-offensive. To all alternative media websites, please post this article as we are all in the same boat, we are all under enemy fire.

If Time Warner do not immediately restore subscribers' access to our websites we will initiate a wider boycott campaign. They are already receiving a deluge of complaints and according to some are now claiming that this is an 'error' that they are looking into and citing other websites that have also been affected, even though these websites are having no problems.

We will update this article as and when Time Warner restores access to Alex Jones' websites. If they fail to do so we will carry telephone numbers and e mail addresses for people to make their complaints.
