The Chairman of the Russian Health Authorities, Gennadi Onishenko, published research results in the government publication Rossiskaya Gazetta, according to which mobile phones are particularly dangerous for children. He said:’… if a child uses a mobile phone for only two minutes, the biochemical activities of the child remains unstable for two hours.’

Furthermore, Hungarian research results had shown that the use of a mobile phone in adolescence increased the risk to develop a brain tumor later in life. He also added that mobile phones could cause sleeplessness, loss of memory as well as high blood pressure and that carrying them close to the body was dangerous to health. He recommended that children, pregnant women and car drivers with pace makers should not use them.
