In my article "emf and autism" which appeared in your emf news, 27, October 2007; there was a typographic error, in the first line mentioning 10-12 megahertz, should have been hertz. If you could possibly edit it or add on an addendum. Also the article points out other factors which are additive to the commonly held agents producing autism, be it heavy metal toxicity. What the article points out there are acclerants, which will markedly increase the rate of induction of autism over the baseline, often by a factor of 50x. The observed peaks in the US, correspond to a elf frequency.

Unfortunately only autism was noted, however the synergistic effect could be resulting in a rapid induction of other illnesses since the mechanism seems to affect information processing.

260 Menschen im Saal – wegen Überfüllung geschlossen — Gebannt hörten die Besucher den eineinhalbstündigen Vortrag von Dr.U.Warnke: „Bienen,Vögel, Menschen. Die Zerstörung der Natur durch Elektrosmog.“ Dr.Warnke stellte anhand der elektrischen Felder und des Erdmagnetismus, ihrer Bedeutung für alle biologischen Vorgänge, von der Orientierung der Bienen bis hin zur menschlichen Zelle, das Grundproblem dar: Die wachsende Strahlenbelastung der Erde durch Mobilfunk und andere Strahlenquellen bringt die Natur aus dem Gleichgewicht. Das war für jedermann nachvollziehbar. Dr.Warnkes Kompetenz ist beeindruckend. Und so verlies vor Ende der Diskussion (nach 3 Stunden) fast kein Besucher den Saal. Unsere Bürgerinitiative stellt fest: Das Interesse an der Mobilfunkproblematik wird immer größer, viele Vertreter anderer Stuttgarter Umweltinitiativen waren da, aber es braucht noch mehr aktive Menschen, um den Druck auf die Politik zu erhöhen. Die Veranstaltung machte auch klar: Die Broschüre von U. Warnke: „Bienen, Vögel, Menschen. Die Zerstörung der Natur durch Elektrosmog.“ ist ein Schlüssel, um die Gesamtproblematik zu verstehen.

The industrial safety agency will set up standards early next year to protect the public from exposure to extremely low-frequency magnetic fields that exist close to power lines and appliances whenever there are electric currents, officials said Monday.

An ordinance under the Electricity Enterprises Law will be revised to comply with a World Health Organization recommendations in June to set exposure limits against the biological effects of low-frequency electric and magnetic fields.

Excellent book re EHS and MCS

I have recently had the pleasure of reading a book which may be of great assistance to persons who are Electro Hyper Sensitive and persons who are Multiple Chemical Sensitive. The title of the book is "The Sick House Survival Guide", written by Angela Hobbs.

In 1996, Angela and her family moved into an area of homes in Newmarket, Ontario, where electrical usage was very high. She soon started to become ill. The first symptoms that she noticed were allergies caused by chemicals and building materials. Eventually, she realized electrical and electro magnetic pollution was causing her serious harm and may have initiated her allergies.

Her book describes how she discovered the different problems and how she found ways to help herself and ensure the safety of her family. The last part of the book is dedicated to assisting readers to find out how they can discover what things are making them sick and describes mitigation techniques to correct the problems.

The book may be particularly helpful for other people, such as relatives, friends, medical professionals and persons who find it difficult to understand EHS and MCS. The book gives a unique perspective of what it is like to suffer from these ailments and what can be accomplished when sensible solutions are used.
