WAGs and war on terror invade dictionary
How nice that "electrosmog" and all of us EHS sufferers by extension, have now been given a secure place within the hallowed lexical confines of Chambers latest English Dictionary, due for release on August 22, 2008.
Alison Flood in her online article (guardian.co.uk, Thursday, August 14) "Wags and War on Terror Invade Dictionary" puts it like this:
"New words included in the 11th edition of the book, out on August 22, have a strong green focus, with food miles, green tax, eco-village and electrosmog- the potentiaoly harmful electromagnetic fields from computers and mobile phones- also making it into the dictionary for the first time.
