It’s a lucrative market for pharmaceuticals in the U.S. and it also can mean big money for school systems and some parents who claim disabled students and/or children. In 1988, it was estimated Ritalin production was already a $30 million annual business. By 1999 an estimated six million American children were taking legally prescribed psychotropic drugs such as Ritalin, Luvox and Prozac to treat sundry mental and emotional maladies simply unimaginable a generation ago so you can only guess what the numbers are today........
