Surely Cancer Research UK will do anything to deflect attention from the role played by mobile phones, as they are funded by the Li Ka Shing Foundation:
"Sir Ka-shing Li is Chairman of Cheung Kong (Holdings) Limited and Hutchison Whampoa Limited, with business interests in ports, property and hotels, retail, biotechnology, energy and infrastructure, and telecommunications. To date, Hutchison Whampoa is the largest Asian investor in the UK, with over GBP 14 billion investments in 3G mobile broadband, ports, property, retail, health products and infrastructure."
What about the report a few years ago when the chief medical/dental officer in Birmingham said that he attributed the 25% rise in childhood mouth cancers to mobile phone use as their metal braces were attracting the microwave emissions. Anyone got that report or newspaper article which originally came to w-a-r-t from Eileen?
Peter & Ann Mobley
I cannot find a news article but this is a link to Eileen's Statement of Evidence to Birmingham City Council's Scrutiny Committee a few years ago - relevant oral cancer reference (by a Dental University Lecturer no less) is towards the bottom of page 5. She may be able to supply extra info.
The other link is to actual scientific findings (Israel) that mobile phone exposure can increase the risk of oral cancer - I wonder why Cancer Research UK don't know anything about this??
I think we can guess some of the reasons - no cause specified in the report...

Note: there is mention in the two stories below, about oral cancer being caused by persons holding very strong sources of microwave radiation against the mouth, while using a cell phone!
Do you think the researchers may be missing something?
Cancer in the mouth is increasing rapidly among persons in the age of 40 in GB
(Each year about 5,000 people are diagnosed with oral cancer and about 1,800 die from it. It can be treated successfully if caught early. Warning signs include ulcers, sores, red or white patches in the mouth lasting more than three weeks and unexplained mouth or ear pain.)
