Streit um Handystrahlung: Wird Liechtenstein zum Funkloch?

Für die Gegner der Initiative grenzt dies an Erpressung von Landtag und Volk. Klaus Schädler, Sprecher des Vereins für gesundheitsverträglichen Mobilfunk (VGM), wirft den Mobilfunkanbietern «gezielte Angstmacherei» vor. Die Bürgerbewegung zählt bloss knapp 200 Mitglieder, ist aber äusserst aktiv. Und erfolgreich: Sie hat in Liechtenstein die Handydebatte bereits vor Jahren lanciert und war treibende Kraft für den Entscheid des Parlaments, den Strahlungsgrenzwert zu senken.

Für Schädler und seine Mitstreiter ist klar, dass renommierte Wissenschaftler die Schädlichkeit der Handystrahlung längst nachgewiesen haben. Der VGM berichtet auch regelmässig von Beispielen, bei denen Menschen, die in der Nähe von Funkmasten wohnen, gesundheitliche Probleme haben. Oder von Kühen mit entzündeten Eutern und Totgeburten.

Es wird immer behauptet, dass Gefäßerkrankungen Todesursache Nummer 1 sei. Im meiner Sportgruppe von zwölf Personen sind in den letzten fünf Jahren sechs Mitglieder an Krebs gestorben. Alle wohnten in Nähe von Mobilfunkstationen. Dazu kommt ein rasant-unaufhörlicher Anstieg von Demenzerkrankung, die zunehmen bereits Menschen ab fünfzig Jahren Lebensalter erfaßt.

Warum sollte es nicht möglich sein, diese nachweisbare, schreckliche Entwicklung durch Resolution auf den Bundestag zu übertragen und eine ordnungsgemäße Behandlung dieses kritischen Sachverhaltes im Plenum zu fordern?
