Lille (AFP) — Wegen befürchteter Gesundheitsgefahren durch eine benachbarte Mobilfunkantenne hat eine französische Stadt eine Vorschule vorläufig geschlossen. Er habe die 180 Kinder der Schule damit vor einer möglichen Gefahr durch Mobilfunkstrahlung schützen wollen, sagte der Bürgermeister der Kleinstadt Château-Thierry, Jacques Krabal, am Dienstag. Die Verwaltung des Ortes östlich von Paris hatte dem Mobilfunkbetreiber Orange demnach eine Genehmigung zur Aufstellung der Antenne in rund hundert Metern Entfernung erteilt. Das Unternehmen habe diese aber in nur 68 Metern Abstand installiert und weigere sich, das zu ändern.

Die Stuttgarter Zeitung vom 4. Mai 2009 berichtet über den sensationellen Alleingang der Gemeinde Bad Boll, die allen Gemeinden Mut machen soll, diesen Weg zu beschreiten - auch wir Schwaikheimer können davon nur lernen, denn die Stadt Bad Boll (Kreis Göppingen) hat die Mobilfunkstrahlung im Ort untersucht und geht massiv in die Offensive: Bad Boll möchte einen eigenen Richtwert für Strahlung festlegen, an die sich künftige Funkanlagen halten sollen.

Der gesetzliche Grenzwert, so schreibt die Stuttgarter Zeitung, sei der Stadt zu hoch und die Gemeinde will im Schulterschluß mit der örtlichen Bürgerinitiative gegen Mobilfunk Richtwerte beschließen, an die sich die Netzbetreiber in Zukunft halten sollen.

Niemand weiß heute wirklich, welche Folgen die Strahlenbelastungen haben, so Bürgermeister Hans-Rudi Bührle.

In yet another decision concerning antennae, on 5 March the court at Angers ordered Orange to cancel the installation of a mobile phone mast on the grounds of 'health risks for local residents'. On 4 February, the Versailles court of appeal ordered Bouygues Telecom to remove a mast in order to mitigate the psychological damage resulting from stress suffered by residents, citing 'exposure to a health risk representing unacceptable disturbance to neighbours'.

Unusual news once in a life time: Here is something I was involved with helping the investigators of this programm, some of you were interviewed in England to this programm, that was supposed to be screened a year ago, on antennas risk, on Israeli TV. In a very unusual exposure, the journalist Aviv Lavie, who saw this programm before it was killed by the cell companies, exposed today in the national newspaper Maariv that the cellular companies, after seeing the result, decided not to allow the programm to be aired and concealed it. They funded this programm with $90,000. The journalist who prepared the programm, Dan Shilon, arrived at the conclusion that the cellular phones will be the cigarettes of the 21 century. The programme showed researchers of cell phones like Prof Korenstein and Prof Levi Schachter, and the cellular companies did not like the fact that the programm included strong evidence on the risk of phones. The comapnies explained their behaviour by the fact that they did surveys that showed that everything they fund will not be trusted by the public. When asked why they funded it in the first place, Lior Verona (cell companies forum) said that they fund campaigns in millions, so what is $90,000 for them anyway.
