Versuche zur Elektrosensibilität

Immer mehr Menschen klagen über Kopfschmerzen, Schlafstörungen und ähnliche gesundheitliche Probleme, die sie auf Mobilfunk oder Elektrosmog zurückführen. Sie bezeichnen sich als "elektrosensibel", weil sie elektromagnetische Felder zu fühlen glauben, die deutlich unter den Grenzwerten liegen. Aufgrund ihrer Leiden gründen sie Bürgerinitativen, mobilisieren die Medien und bringen Ärzte und Politiker in Verlegenheit. Wissenschaftler der Bundesanstalt für Arbeitsschutz und Arbeitsmedizin haben das Phänomen "Elektrosensibilität" unter die Lupe genommen. Sie wollten wissen, ob die Selbstdiagnose der Elektrosensiblen objektiven Laborbedingungen standhält.

Nine people showed up at the Santa Fe City Council on Wednesday to protest plans for free wireless Internet hot spots around town.

Wi-Fi service was installed this week at City Council Chambers, and councilors are looking to create new hotspots at libraries, recreation centers and other city buildings.

But the people who spoke during the council’s “petitions from the floor” maintain that wireless service, cell phones and other microwave-transmitting devices cause cancer, brain tumors and other health problems.

“I’m here despite the fact that I have a headache in this room, despite the fact that it’s affecting my breathing,” said Arthur Firstenberg. “I’m staying long enough to speak, but having Wi-Fi in City Hall is definitely an infringement of the rights of people to petition their government for grievances.”

Bill Bruno, who said he had a doctorate in physics and works at Los Alamos National Laboratory, carried a microwave meter and wore a silver-coated nylon veil which he said helped protect him from Wi-Fi signals. “I don’t like feeling like a freak, but there’s not that many places I can go now that I don’t feel like a freak,” he said.

A Scientist claims he has evidence that there is a link between 25 cases of cancer and a nearby mobile phone mast.

The Echo reported in 2002 how there had been 10 cases of cancer near a mast in Gainsborough.

Five years on, radiation specialist Dr John Walker says he has now identified 25 cases of cancer in the area and believes he has identified a link between them and the aerials.

His research suggests that people who sleep in the emissions area of a phone mast risk harm to their immune system.

There have been campaigns against numerous masts across Lincolnshire, including one on the Birchwood Shopping Centre in Lincoln, one in Langton Hill, near Horncastle, and another at The Forum in North Hykeham.

The people affected in Gainsborough all live within a half-mile radius of the aerials on a water tower in Ash Grove.

Their cases involve cancers of the breast, skin, stomach, brain and ovaries in addition to leukaemia and Hodgkinsons lymphoma.

Representatives of the mobile phone industry have challenged Dr Walker's research.

Please read the attached story. I find that it is a fascinating theory as to why electro magnetic radiation is causing so much harm to health.

It could help to explain why allergies are caused by electro magnetic radiation, why yeast infections can turn into cancer and why sick building syndrome is related to electromagnetic radiation. This seems to be a theory that needs much further scientific research, but also something we should consider when dealing with EMR issues.
