Freudig wurden uns letzte Woche Meldungen zum Abschluss des deutschen Mobilfunk-Forschungsprogramms präsentiert wie: "Handy-Strahlung löst keinen Krebs aus", "Entwarnung für Gesundheits Risiken". Klarheit zu möglichen Langzeitwirkungen der Handy-Nutzung wird aber noch auf sich warten lassen. Auch, weil wegen der jungen Technologie die Zeit, in der Langzeitwirkungen auftreten können, noch läuft. Diese Zeit darf nicht dahingehend verrinnen, dass uns währenddessen Sand in die Augen gestreut wird.

That exuberant motto, used by an executive at a trade group for nanotech entrepreneurs, reflects the buoyant enthusiasm for nanotechnology in some business and scientific circles.
