SEND YOUR EXPERIENCES TO THE HEALTH PROTECTION AGENCY (HPA)

http://groups.google.com/group/mobilfunk_newsletter/t/5526b6f47b0897d1

[The truncated email addresses you find in the attached Word document under the address above: EXPERIENCES TO THE HEALTH PROTECTION AGENCY (2) (3) (2).doc ]

I don't see why people can't send in details from other countries as it will demonstrate that this is an international health problem which Governments throughout world and agencies such as the UK Health Protection Agency are totally ignoring. We need to start up some political pressure and the UK will be a good place to start. Information gathered by the central source could also be used to present to the European Parliament.

I have already sent our data to Jill Meara, Roger Cox and Michael Clark at the HPA about the symptoms suffered near the Orange mast in our village - accompanied by a document signed by all those suffering. The message at the top was along the lines of:

WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, GIVE OUR PERMISSION FOR THIS INFORMATION TO BE PUBLISHED ANYWHERE, AS WE WANT AS MUCH PUBLICITY AS WE CAN GET REGARDING THE SYMPTOMS WE HAVE SUFFERED SINCE A MAST WAS ACTIVATED 14 METRES FROM FRONT DOORS IN KENSWORTH IN SEPTEMBER 2001.

Needless to say, they are still suffering!

HPA don't want to know

An e-mail message from Dr Jill Meara at the HPA, 23 Oct 07

Dear L............and (list of) others.

I was made aware over the weekend that a number of people are asking members of the public who complain of electrical sensitivity to contact the HPA. I am afraid that you have been misinformed about HPA's wish to received unsolicited case histories. We are not doing any research studies that can use this material at the moment. In addition we have already been told on a number of occasions that people with electrical sensitivity and other problems that they attribute to radio frequency and other exposures are not helped by the responses from HPA. Therefore encouraging them to write may well do more harm than good.

The only advice that we can give is for people to look at the information that we publish on our website and seek medical help via their GP if they are unwell. We have nothing more to offer at the moment.

Therefore I am asking that you do not encourage people to submit case histories to us. We will certainly let you know if we do want to assemble this sort of information.

Yours sincerely
Dr Jill Meara

Do mobile phones have health implications?

I hope government would initiate moves with environmental groups and research institutions; with funding from the mobile phone, radio and TV companies, to conduct studies to establish the facts concerning the possible health hazards associated with communications technologies, so that at least, in Ghana, the tide of the cases of cancer, leukemia and impotence can be stemmed, to prolong the lives of our people.

Green MEPs demand investigation and caution over WiFi in schools

Source: Green Party

EURO-MP Caroline Lucas has called for caution after a scientific study linked some Electromagnetic Fields – some caused by WiFi mobile ‘phones and email devices – with an increased risk of cancer.

In August the International BioInitiative Working Group - a renowned group of scientists and public health experts – published a report documenting evidence that some electromagnetic fields are a risk factor in some childhood and adult cancers.

Schools 'should wait for official report' before installing Wi-Fi

By Geoffrey Lean, Environment Editor Published: 14 October 2007

Schools should think twice about installing Wi-Fi systems while an official investigation into their safety is carried out, teachers' leaders said yesterday.

Philip Parkin, general secretary of the Professional Association of Teachers, said that the investigation – announced late last week by the Health Protection Agency – suggested that there was "no smoke without fire". He added that schools should consider more carefully whether they should introduce them into the classroom.
