Anti-war campaigners will be urged this weekend to target Scottish military bases with a new wave of 'civil disobedience' protests that could see fences cut, runways invaded and aeroplanes vandalised. Leading figures in the Scottish anti-war movement will call for more 'proactive' tactics at a meeting in Glasgow over the weekend. Activists believe an increase in 'direct action' such as blocking roads and breaking into bases will discourage politicians from supporting future military campaigns. The protesters hope a 'widening' of tactics will highlight the 'crucial' role that Scots bases played in the invasion and occupation of Iraq...

Rumsfeld's Legacy: Soldiers Jailed for Scrounging Parts on the Battlefield

Here is an article that shows what really happens on the battlefield: "Six reservists, including two veteran officers who had received Bronze Stars, were court-martialed for what soldiers have been doing as long as there have been wars -- scrounging to get what their outfit needed to do its job in Iraq," according to the Chicago Tribune news article below. Remember, U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld is responsible for the planning and execution of the Iraq War.

More and more soldiers continue complaining about the lack of proper equipment to win the Iraq War. In the article below, Reservists from Florida claim the problem of inferior and broken equipment has been going on for years without resolution by the Department of Defense. The people ultimately responsible are the President, Secretary of Defense, and Congress. The people who suffer more casualties as a result of these political leadership failures are our soldiers on the front lines.

Poll Shows 77 Percent Want Rumsfeld Fired

U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld keeps failing our Nation. We know Iraq has no weapons of mass destruction and no ties to 9/11 terrorists. We also know the planning for the war remains a disaster: The lack of Iraqi oil money has cost U.S. taxpayers $200 billion; not enough troops were deployed to secure the peace; our soldiers don't have the proper equipment to win; and the "stop loss" back door draft forces soldiers to remain on the front lines after their volunteer contracts expire.
