Paris (AFP) — Forscher und Krebsärzte aus mehreren europäischen Ländern und den USA haben bei der Mobiltelefonnutzung wegen möglicher Gesundheitsgefahren vorbeugend zur Vorsicht aufgerufen. Bis die Wirkung der Handy-Strahlung auf den Körper und insbesondere auf das Gehirn endgültig erforscht sei, sollten Kinder unter zwölf Jahren generell nicht mobil telefonieren, heißt es dem im Internet veröffentlichten Aufruf der 20 Wissenschaftler aus Frankreich, Italien, den Niederlanden und den USA.

New Delhi: Warning people about harmful effects of radiation from mobile phones, the Central government has asked service providers and cell phone makers to avoid promotional advertisements showing vulnerable segments like children and pregnant women using cell phones.

The electromagnetic waves emitted from mobile phones can seriously damage the tissues of the users' brain, according to recent guidelines issued by the Ministry of Telecommunication.
