Sparks are flying between the residents of Saco, and Central Maine Power Company. At issue are CMP's plans to upgrade a transmission line that runs from Old Orchard Beach through Saco. Some opponents argue that the upgrade is unnecessary. Others cite concerns over the health risks associated with exposure to the higher electro-magnetic field that they say the new power lines could create.
