The Bush Administration's neo-conservative and pro-torture policy was laid bare today by Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge. Ridge asserted that torture is now allowed by the U.S. government, saying, "You would try to exhaust every means you could to extract the information..." Ridge abandons the protections our soldiers need in war, and Ridge promotes war crimes such as those done by Army Specialist Charles Graner, convicted of assault for beating prisoners of war.
