The continuing silence of President George W. Bush and Alberto Gonzales, his top White House attorney, regarding the widespread torture carried out as a result of their orders is a national and international disgrace. The terrible torture scandal continues expanding: Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, Afghanistan, and now other secret prisons in Afghanistan and elsewhere, in clear violation of international law, and needlessly endangering our troops.
