Mandatory Vaccinations in Washington DC

Flash....the Washington Post is running a piece about several hundred students in DC schools who have not received their District-mandated shots. Boom. They can't attend public schools, and their parents are being chased down by authorities....fines, jail time are possible, as well as charges of neglect---which could result in the kids being taken from the parents. In the seat of national government, the right to refuse medical treatment is apparently blotted out. The Post article does not discuss whether exemption claims on the basis of religious or philosophical belief are still permitted. Doesn't sound like they are. It also appears there is some sort of registry in DC that allows cops to find out whether a kid has been vaccinated. Pseudo-scientific fascism is on the move. Anybody left in Washington with enough working brain cells to challenge this medical police state?
